Live Oak, FL (5/25/2012) - Wash Race Craft headed to Sunset Ridge for AMA ATV MX round 4 at Sunet Ridge this past weekend. There, Walsh race Craft's Cody Gibson would once again top the podium.

In the Pro-Am Unlimited class on Saturday the track conditions were the roughest that we have seen yet this year. In the moto one qualifier Cody Gibson and the Walsh Race Craft CRF450 Hybrid ATV continued where they left off from round 3’s main event, as they pulled the Holeshot and rode away to victory.

Cody Gibson has pulled almost every Holeshot since round one on his Walsh Race Craft CRF450 Hybrid ATV

In the main event they repeated with another Holehot and uncontested victory, taking both moto wins for 1st overall.

On the 4 events for the 2012 season- 1-1-6-1= 105 points (second place has 70 points)

Pro-Am Production Class
This is where things got a little more interesting, in qualifying, Cody Gibson turned the fastest lap time of any rider in any class all weekend with a time of 01:36.4. The second fastest lap time was recorded by Pro Joel Hetrick with 01:37.1

In moto one, Gibson pulled the hole-shot and maintained a comfortable lead all the way to the checkers.

As the main event got underway, Gibson took the Holeshot and we all expected to see a breeze to the finish line, but as the moto went on Gibson started to feel fatigued from all the laps he had put in all weekend. On lap nine Casey Martin was starting to challenge Gibson for the lead and he made the pass. Being that Gibson was too tired to ride to his full potential and since Casey had a poor moto one finish, Cody played it smart and maintained second place and take the overall win with moto scores of 1-2.

On the podium after the main event Cody Gibson said “I always want to win, but I got kind of tired in that second moto and Casey caught me off guard a little, but I still got the overall and that’s what counts.”

On the 4 events for the 2012 season- 1-1-1-1= 120 points (second place has 77 points)

Walsh Race Craft's Cody Gibson holds down the points lead for both the Pro-Am Production & Unlimted Classes
As the gate dropped on moto one Cody Gibson and the Walsh Race Craft CRF450 Hybrid ATV were well on their way to taking the Holeshot, but as they approached the corner the Hybrid shut down, due to a failed stator and they were forced to watch the race from the sidelines. With a DNF in moto one, Cody had to go to the last chance qualifier. In the LCQ Cody pulled the Holeshot and rode on to take the win. This gave Cody Gibson a 9th place finish in moto one.

In moto two Cody Gibon and the Walsh Race Craft CRF450 Hybrid ATV pulled their third straight main event Holeshot on the Pro-Am Unlimited class (had it not been for the failed stator, we feel confident in saying that Cody Gibon and the Walsh Race Craft CRF450 Hybrid ATV’s holeshot / win streak would still be perfect). Once again Cody Gibson proved to be the dominant rider in this class, as he would ride on to take the main event win.

With the score of 9-1 Cody was awarded 6th place overall.

Pro-Am Production Class
Cody and the Walsh LT-R450 continued to prove dominant as they pulled the Holeshot on the moto one qualifier and rode on to victory, giving Cody the first gate pick for the main event. And yet again as the gate dropped on the Pro-Am Production main event, Cody pulled the hole-shot and rode on to victory, uncontested!

With the score of 1-1 Cody was awarded 1st place overall.
