Live Oak, FL (7/19/2011) - All
in all we had a good weekend at round 9, the weather
was nice and the
racing was exciting.
As the gate dropped for our first moto we found
Jeremy recovering from one
of our poorest starts all year, as the riders
panned out Jeremy was in
13thplace. Jeremy quickly started to pass fellow
racers and towards
the end of
the race he had made his way up to fifth, it almost
looked like we were
going to have to settle for fifth but in the final
two laps Jeremy made
passes on Thomas Brown and Nick Denoble to take
third in the first moto.
Now as the gate dropped on our second moto Jeremy
was determined to get a
good start and capitalize on this first moto third
place finish. Jeremy came
around the first corner in 3rd place but was quickly
tangled up with Richard
Pelchat, who ran into the back of Jeremy in the
second corner. So once again
Jeremy had to work as hard as he possibly could
to salvage a good finish.
Thankfully Jeremy was one of the fastest riders
on the track and was able to
make it back up to 4th place, where he would finish.
Our finishes of 3-4 gave Jeremy Lawson 4th overall.
We have now moved up to 3rd in the overall point
standings and are 25 points behind 2nd and 28
points behind 1st.
