Twin Air's Dustin Wimmer Dominates NEATV-MX Capeway Rovers
NEATV-MX - Round 2 - Capeway Rovers - Carver, MA - May 15, 2011

Perkasie, PA (5/18/2011) - Round 2 of the NEATV series went to Capeway Rovers in Middleboro, MA. Twin Air’s Dustin Wimmer was there to try and repeat his success in round 1. He and his Suzuki LT-R 450 were ready for battle at the Capeway Rovers sand track.

Moto 1 for the Pro Class started off a little rough for Wimmer. Spinning the tires off the line left him in nearly last place going through the first corner. Series contender and former teammate Josh Creamer took the hole shot. Wimmer would have to work hard to get to the front on a track that is known for limited passing opportunities. Seven laps into the moto Wimmer had passed all but Creamer. He closed the gap to Creamer but ran out of time. He would have to settle for 2nd in Moto 1. Last year’s champion Cody Miller would round out the top three.

Moto 2 would start off much better for Wimmer. A second place start behind Cody Miller would put him in much better position for the win. A mistake by Miller would allow Wimmer to take over the lead. Wimmer, however, would also bobble and allow Miller to retake the lead. Later in the moto Wimmer would get around Miller to take over the lead and win the moto. Josh Creamer would also move past Miller to take second place. Miller, again, would take home third.
Wimmer’s 2-1 Moto finishes would take the overall win for the Pro Class over Creamer’s 1-2. Wimmer has won 3 out of 4 motos so far this year in the Pro Class.

Pro-Am race action was more of the same for Wimmer. Top three starts in both motos would later turn into moto victories. Creamer would follow Wimmer in both motos. Cody Miller had a strong first moto placing third but crashed in moto two to fall back to seventh overall. Jasmin Plante would use his consistent 4-4 moto finishes to take the final podium spot. Wimmer is now 4 for 4 in the Pro-Am class this season.

Wimmer holds the points lead in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes heading into the next round at Hurricane Hills in Clifford, Pa. on May 29th.
