Twin

from AMA ATV MX to NEATV-MX for 2011
and won the opening round of NEATV-MX
|
Perkasie, PA (5/10/2011) - Round
1 of the NEATV series at Walden MX in Wallkill,
NY is in the books. It was a great weekend
of racing with beautiful weather and a large
turnout of racers. Among those racers were
2X AMA ATV MX Champion and Twin Air sponsored
rider Dustin Wimmer.
The Pro and Pro/Am classes were stacked with
talent. The two biggest names on the gate
were Dustin Wimmer and
Josh Creamer. These two former teammates
have won the ATV MX Championship the last
three years. Wimmer has stayed on a Suzuki
while Creamer has made the switch to Can-Am.
Last year’s NEATV Champion Cody Miller
was there to try and defend his Pro and Pro/Am
class titles.
The racing action was great, as expected.
In Moto 1 of Pro class racing action Josh
Creamer took the hole shot with Dustin Wimmer
right behind. Within a few laps Wimmer and
his Twin Air sponsored Suzuki worked his way
past Creamer and pulled away. Moto 2 started
off even better for Wimmer with the hole shot.
He never looked backed and cruised to victory
for the moto and the overall for the day with
1-1 moto finishes. Creamer was consistent
and took home second overall with last year’s
champion Cody Miller rounding out the Pro
Class podium.
The Pro-Am Class was more of the same for
Wimmer, two hole shots and two moto victories.
Josh Creamer was once again in second place
and Cody Miller finished off the podium. It
was a rerun of the Pro Class results.
Dustin Wimmer holds the points lead in both
classes and it looks like this series is going
to be one to watch. Twin Air would like to
congratulate Dustin on a job well done. Look
for Dustin and his Twin Air sponsored Suzuki
to stay out front this year.
