McGill take his first win of the season

Perkasie, PA (3/28/2011) - Twin
Air Race Report for Round 3 of the GNCC Series
(March 28, 2011) Round three of the GNCC series
held at Steele Creek in Morganton, NC was another
exciting race that saw Twin Air sponsored riders
winning four classes and posting top three finishers
in six classes.
In A.M. racing action it was again the Twin
Air sponsored UXC Racing riders Michael Swift
and Clifton Beasley taking home top honors
in the 4x4 Open and U2 classes. That’s
two out of three for Swift and a perfect season
so far for Beasley. Rounding out the top three
in the 4x4 Open class, was Bryan Buckhannon,
another Twin Air sponsored rider and round
2 winner. In women’s action Twin Air
sponsored Foremost Insurance/Warnert Racing/
Can-Am rider Lexie Coulter took home second
place in another great Women’s Class
race.
The afternoon racing was some of the best
this season. Twin Air sponsored Foremost Insurance/Warnert
Racing/ Can-Am riders Adam McGill and Chris
Bithell were at the front of the race all
day. Twin Air’s Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki
rider Chris Borich looked to be setting up
another late race charge but some mechanical
troubles dropped him back after taking the
lead on the last lap. Adam McGill charged
into the lead and was able to stay in front
of teammate Bithell for his first win on the
season. Borich held onto fifth and retained
his points lead. Bithell and McGill sit second
and third in the points respectively.
In other race action Twin Air sponsored DeRisi
Racing rider Eric Hoyland bounced back this
weekend after a tough round two to take home
third place in the XC-2 class. It was a great
performance and his second third place finish
of the season. It was a great weekend of racing
for the DeRisi Racing team. Their Junior A
riders David Reeves and Luke Reeves took home
first and third as well.
Round four of the GNCC series takes us to
Union, SC for the Pirelli Big Buck on April
9th and 10th. This round will no doubt feature
some great battles as the points chase tightens
up. This will also be round two of the UTV
racing series.
