Lewisburg, TN (8/15/2012)
-Team UXC Racing’s Michael Swift
will be heading to the 5th Annual GBC Heartland
Challenge to defend his Pro Utility class title
in the grueling ten hour race, and 2012 Ironman
champion Forrest Whorton will be joining him.
Can-Amtalk.com has once again signed on as the
title sponsor for the UXC Racing Team for this
event, while Can-am/BRP, Maxxis Tires and Rox
Speed FX have also made significant contributions
to the team’s racing efforts. “I really
want to thank everyone for all of their support.
Hopefully we will be giving them a couple of wins
in return,” said Michael Swift.
There have been a few changes in the Heartland
Challenge format for the Utility classes this
year. The most notable change is the Pro Utility
class will no longer be a team effort; instead
it will be an ironman style race with one man
and one quad for a solid ten hours of racing.
“They have a format change and I will
be running in the Pro Utility class this time,”
stated Michael Swift.
The original Ironman class will still be intact
as an open class and 2011 Ironman champion,
Forrest Whorton, will be racing under the Can-Amtalk.com/UXC
Racing tent to defend that title. The 5th Annual
GBC Heartland Challenge is scheduled for August
16th – 19th in Carlisle, IA.
