Lewisburg, TN (10/27/2011) -
UXC Racing’s Cliff Beasley was back on top
after taking the U2 class win at the Ironman round
of the 2011 GNCC series in Crawfordsville, Indiana
this past weekend.
The Ironman round of the series is known as
one of the tougher rounds on the circuit and
this time was no exception. There were plenty
of trees, rocks and steep hill climbs to wreak
havoc on unsuspecting racers, but Cliff Beasley
was ready for action.
Beasley came off the line and took the lead
right away. Once out front he never looked back
and proceeded to pull away from the rest of
his class. Beasley took the U2 class win by
over six and half minutes ahead of his nearest
competitor, and his time of 02:02:15 put him
in fifth overall in the morning classes. Beasley
wrapped up the championship two rounds ago and
is looking to finish out his season with a win
for the final round at Loretta Lynn’s.
“It was a good race for me and it felt
good to be winning again,” stated Beasley.

In the 4x4 Open class, Michael Swift still
holds the points lead even after a mechanical
issue kept him from finishing the race. Swift
grabbed the holeshot and was looking fast and
smooth, but in lap three, disaster struck and
Swift would be sidelined for the rest of the
race. Swift, who is never one to give up, is
more determined than ever to win the final race
of the season at the team’s home track
of Loretta Lynn’s. “I’m going
to go out there and do my best and hopefully
take the win and bring home another championship,”
said Swift.

Even though this is the first year as a team
for UXC Racing, they have had incredible success
with podium finishes in nine out of twelve rounds
so far, with four of those finishes being overall
wins.
The final round of the 2011 GNCC series will
head to the legendary Loretta Lynn’s in
Hurricane Mills, TN where the UXC Racing team
is ready to do battle on their home turf and
finish their season on a high note and on the
podium.
