Shelbyville, TN (3/8/2011) - Team
UXC Racing made its debut at round one of the
2011 GNCC series and both Michael Swift and Cliff
Beasley showed they have every intention of dominating
in the the U2 and 4x4 Open classes this season
after taking class wins and two spots on the podium.
Warm weather was on tap at River Ranch, Florida
for round one of the 2011 GNCC series where
the sandy soil is notorious for its Palmetto
roots and rough conditions, but Team UXC Racing
was not deterred as they charged their way to
two class wins this past weekend.

Team UXC Racing's
Michael Swift has 5 strait championship
wins under his belt and is on track
for yet another
|
Michael Swift, who, after taking his fifth
straight championship in 2010, made the switch
from the 4x4 Limited class to the 4x4 Open class,
made it clear early in the race that he has
every intention of adding another championship
to his already impressive resume. Swift's class
was second off the line with Swift in a solid
second, but he didn't waste any time in taking
over his class lead and the overall lead. “Since
I was going into a different class this year,
I wasn't really sure what to expect, so my strategy
was to just stay close to the guys up front,
but then I came off the line in second and I
just kept going forward from there,” said
Swift, who not only took his class win, but
also took the first overall morning classes
win of the season. “I've been working
with Marc Spataro at MotoPro Training and I
have also been using Carbo Rocket supplements;
I think that has helped me a lot but we also
have some great sponsors supporting us this
year and we really have to give them thanks
because they have done so much for us and we
wouldn't be on the podium without them,”
Swift added.

Team UXC Racing's
current U2 Class defending champion
Cliff Beasley began the 2011 season
with a first place finish
|
Current and defending U2 class champion, Cliff
Beasley, who ran a perfect season in 2010, picked
up right where he left off. Beasley grabbed the
U2 class holeshot and never looked back. Beasley
cruised to what appeared to be an easy win and
remains undefeated in the U2 class since making
the switch last year. Beasley's impressive run
also allowed him to join his teammate, Swift,
on the podium in third place overall. “I
had a great day. It was challenging and rough
out there but I can't think of a better way to
start the season that to take a win and finish
on the podium,” said Beasley.
With their first wins of the season under their
belts, Team UXC Racing will heading to Aonia
Pass in Georgia on March 12th for the Maxxis
General round where they will once again be
going for their class wins and the podium.
