The Can-Amtalk.com/UXC Racing Team, consisting
of multi-time GNCC Utility class champions,
Michael Swift and Cliff Beasley have participated
in the Heartland Challenge since the event began
in 2008, clinching the Pro Utility class title
in both 2008 and 2009. The team was in the hunt
for a top notch racer to come aboard for this
year’s event in order to take back their
title, which slipped away last year, and called
on Adam McGill to come in to help them get the
job done.

sits second in the XC1 Class in the
GNCC Series

Although Adam McGill currently races the Can-Am
DS450 in the XC1 Pro class, he is looking forward
to giving the bigger utility quads a try. “I
think it’s going to be a fun event and
I am looking forward to teaming up with Michael
Swift and Cliff Beasley. Those guys are the
best utility quad racers out there so I think
we can win this,” said McGill.
UXC Racing also announced that they have teamed
up with Can-Amtalk.com, who will be taking on
the role of title sponsor of the team for the
Heartland Challenge. “We’ve enjoyed
working with Michael Swift in the past and we
really wanted to continue that relationship,
so this is the perfect opportunity for us,”
stated Craig Deats, owner of Can-Amtalk.com.
“We are really looking forward to this
opportunity and so are our website’s members.
Our members are able to buy “Laps”
through our sight and that money goes directly
to supporting our racers, so it is a really
unique way for our members to be involved, even
if they don’t race themselves,”
added Deats, who will also be sponsoring the
team’s future efforts in the GNCC series
as well, through the 2012 season.
As a bonus for the event, CarboRocket Sports
Drink representatives will be on hand under
the Can-Amtalk.com/UXC Racing tent. CarboRocket,
the next generation of sports drinks, combines
the latest sports science research with the
best tasting, all-natural, proven ingredients
making CarboRocket the perfect alternative for
hydration and nutrition needs. CarboRocket reps
will be handing out free samples and have products
available for purchase throughout the event.
The Can-Amtalk.com/UXC Racing Team will also
be helping out fellow racer Forrest Whorton,
who will be taking on the daunting Ironman class.
Whorton is the current points leader in the
4x4 Super Senior class and has won all but one
round so far this season. Whorton took part
in the Heartland Challenge Ironman class last
year and put in an amazing performance, taking
second place in his class. “Michael and
Cliff helped me out at last year’s race,
and I’m looking forward to working with
them this year. I’m going to go out there
and give it my best and hopefully take the win
this year,” stated Whorton.
The GBC Heartland Challenge will take place
in Carlisle, IA on August 18th – 20th
where the Can-Amtalk.com/UXC Racing Team will
be going for the top of podium as they go for
the 2011 championship title.
