Team Southside Racers Take Podium at Hemonds MX NEATV-MX
NEATV-MX - Round 8 - Hemonds MX - Minot, ME - August 18-19, 2012

Cody Paolella - Team Southside Polaris

Cody Paolella kept his winning streak going winning all 4 motos and extending his points lead in both the 4-Stroke & Open classes

North Adams, MA (8/31/2012) -The team headed north to Minot Maine for round 8 of the 2012 NEATV Series at Hemonds MX. It was a perfect weekend for racing… besides the traffic headed up 95. Travis still out of the Pro & Pro-Am class healing up after wrist surgery. It was Mark Gehring carrying the flag in the Pro-Am class. In Moto 1 he just narrowly lost the holeshot to Creamer, and was able to settle into 2nd place for a few laps before dropping one spot to 3rd where he would finish. In moto 2 he would finish a solid 6th place giving him 4th overall for the day and moving him into 3rd in the points.

Mark along with Jesse Onesti were both in the 4-Stroke A which Mark was currently leading headed into the weekend and he would extend that points lead after a stellar show put on by the two of them. Mark would go 1-1 grabbing both holeshots and leading flag to flag and Jesse would go 3-2 giving Polaris the top 2 spots overall in the premier A class. In Open A, it was only Jesse, but that was all that was needed as he was able to hold off the field and also go 1-1. Jesse currently leads the Open A class.

In the B classes, Cody Paolella kept his winning streak going winning all 4 motos and extending his points lead in both the 4-Stroke and Open classes. His Brother Kyle would finish 8th overall in 4-Stroke B posting a 3rd in moto 1 and had a get off in moto 2, but still managed a 12th.

In the C classes, rookie Eddie Bandel  would go 1-8 for 5th overall in 4-Stroke C and extend the points lead, and then go 1-1 in Open C and take the points lead in the class, a significant feat since he missed the first round of the season.  Kellie Moran holds onto her lead in the Womens class going 1-1, and had a solid showing in the Open C class getting out 2nd in moto 1 behind Eddie before getting stuck on a berm, came back to finish 9th, and then bettered in moto 2 finishing 6th.

This coming weekend the team heads to Clifford PA for the second time this season to Hurricane Hills. We would like to again thank all our great sponsors for what is shaping up as an amazing season and we look to keep it going.
