North Adams, MA
                                      (4/25/2012) - The 2012 NEATV got
off to a great start for Team Southside
Polaris with 2 wins and another 5 podiums
on the weekend. Kellie Moran started us
off going 3-2 for a 2nd overall in the Womens
class in her first weekend on a Polaris
or a 450. Travis Moore came up from McKenzie
TN just one week after a horrible crash
that left him battered and bruised with
a hyper extended wrist amongst other things.
He wouldn’t get off the line the best
in either Pro moto but he would come up
through the pack both motos to go 3-2 and
finish 2nd overall. In the first moto of
Pro-Am he wouldn’t get out the greatest
again, but again he would make his way up
                                      to 4th position.

Moto 2 he would get out 3rd behind Creamer
and teammate Gehring, he would cleanly
make his way past Gehring and finish 2nd
in the moto which gave him 2nd overall
for the day. It was a great weekend considering
that he wasn’t 100%, he had only
rode the race bike for the first time
the day before, and it was the first time
using his JRI Shocks on the Polaris, so
there is nowhere but up to go from here.
Also in Pro-Am was Mark Gehring who had
two great holeshots getting out 2nd and
3rd in them, he would finished 7-9 on
the day with an 8th overall. Max Soto
of Argentina made his debut as well, and
had a solid weekend. He was very happy
with the Polaris, but had some bad luck
in moto one when he was knocked off the
track and took a tumble, and then in moto
2 he got tangled in the first turn. He
still managed to finish 10th overall.
Both look to improve on that this weekend
                                        at Southwick.
In 4-Stroke A we had Gehring, Soto, and
Jesse Onesti. Gehring would have a great
moto 1, getting out 3rd, and staying up
there even after someone got into him
and pushed him off the track. In Moto
2 he would get pushed off in the 2nd corner
but rally back to finish 14th with an
8th overall, Onesti and Soto both looked
strong finishing 11th and 10th respectively.
Open A rolled around and moto 1 Onesti
would get out 2nd with Soto 3rd, and a
battle for 3 laps would encapsulate the
top 4 riders, with coming to the white
flag, Onesti, Soto, and Suzuki rider Barto
would be 3 wide, with Soto in 2nd until
he landed the chain came off causing him
to finish 9th, as Onesti would finish
3rd. In moto 2, Onesti would have a great
run to finish 2nd in the moto, and 2nd
overall, and Soto would rally back to
                                        finish 5th in moto 2 for a 7th overall.

In Collegeboy, Bruce Gaspardi Jr, who
didn’t get the practice or sleep
for that matter was still able to put
together two solid motos, in moto one
he would go from 9th to 4th after losing
his seat in the first turn, and then in
moto 2 he would get out 4th and stay there
the moto to go 4th overall for the day.
In Open B, it was Cody Paolella, would
get the moto 1 holeshot and win and then
in moto 2 he would get second, make the
pass for the lead, taking the moto win
and the overall. In 4-Stroke B with 37
entries, we all wondered what was going
to happen with both Kyle and Cody Paolella
on the track at the same time. Well as
fate would have it they would be in opposite
qualifiers, with Cody out first he would
get the the holeshot go on to take the
moto win. In Kyle’s qualifier he
would get out 3rd and stay there. In moto
2, they gated next to each other, Kyle
would get the advantage coming out 2nd
with Cody mid pack, cody would make his
way up to 3rd, forcing Kyle to make a
move, Kyle would take lead now and then
Cody moved in the 2nd. Cody would then
pass Kyle for the lead, and KTM Chamberland
would take 2nd, and Kyle would finish
3rd giving the Paolella brothers 2 spots
on the box, Cody with first and Kyle with
                                        3rd.
This coming weekend we are headed to
historic Southwick for round 2 of the
NEATV-MX Series, we hope to see you all
                                        there.
