North Adams, MA
                                      (8/12/2012) - While preparing for
the NEATV season opener in April, Travis
Moore suffered a horrific crash that left
him unconscious and his bike mangled. Initial
x-rays revealed his wrist to be hyper-extended.
Just like ATVRE.com coined Moore as “Tennessee’s
blood, sweat, and tears,” he continued
to train and compete with podium finishes
in the NEATV Series for Team Southside Polaris.
The mobility in his left wrist continued
to decrease, while the pain increased.

After four months and several doctor
visits, he was referred to a hand specialist
                                        at Vanderbilt Hospital. Moore received
word that his wrist had been broken since
the incident four months ago, which had
caused a loss of blood flow to the bone
                                        and threatened his racing career.
When doctors questioned Moore about his
ability to continue racing through such
pain, he accredited the Flexx handlebars
                                        and All-Sports Dynamic’s carbon
fiber wrist brace as added support to
                                        his willpower and determination. Moore
had planned to run a limited AMA schedule,
including his favorite hometown race at
Loretta Lynn’s on August 11th. However,
Moore suffered another crash due to a
blown motor while preparing for the AMA
ATV race at Balance MX causing further
                                        injury to his wrist.
                                       Doctors warned that delaying surgery
could cause permanent damage to the wrist
                                        while jeopardizing Moore’s racing
career. Moore was ranked second in the
NEATV Series pro point standings with
half the season left to go at the time
Moore underwent surgery on August 6th..
Doctors are hopeful for a full recovery.
Moore attended the final round of the
AMA ATV MX at Loretta Lynn’s on
                                        August 11th representing Nine6Nine Motorsports
and support his amateur rider Hunter Brogdon.
A special thanks to Team Southside Polaris
