North Adams, MA
(1/31/2011) - The band of Outlaws….
back for another season of atv racing.
Hot off of last years 3 championships
on the NEATV Series, Team Southside is
currently halfway through their 2010-2011
SnoCross schedule with the ISOC Eastern
National coming up this weekend in Farmington,
NY. However; with the last couple papers
signed and sealed, it is time to take
a break from all the snow and talk about
dirt.

Southside Polaris Racers #8
Mike Pilotte (left) & #91
Jasmin Plante (right)
|
In the pro division we will have 3 riders
set to compete in the full NEATV Schedule.
Leading off is the #8 of Mike Pilotte
from Fall River MA, who last season finished
3rd overall, even after riding 3 rounds
with a broken wrist. He ended the season
with 3 overall wins and 13 overall podiums.
Next up is NEATV-MX Rookie
Kody Evans.Coming all the way from Safford
Arizona, he clinched a 2nd place overall
finish in the Pro Open class on the ITP
Quadcross Series. At only 18 years old
he has a lot of talent and potential;
we see him having a strong year out here
in the Northeast. Also on his plate, he
will be running 6 of the 7 Yamaha X Series
on the West Coast, missing only 1 round
due to a schedule conflict with NEATV.
The final Pro entry that
will be making the long trip from north
of the border is the #91 of Jasmin Plante.
Jasmin is one of the fastest Canadian
riders and really made his presence felt
last season at NEATV. With 9 overall wins
and 16 overall 16 podiums, he finished
2nd overall for the season. In addition
to running the full NEATV Series, Jasmin
will also be running any CMRC & Courses
VTT races that do not conflict.

Team
Southside Polaris Racer from
South Africa #33 Jurie Botter
Meyer
|
In the “A” division we have
two very talented riders. Venturing all
the way from South Africa will be the
#33 of Jurie Botter Meyer. Some people
might remember him from last season when
he did a couple NEATV rounds and an AMA
National. Joining him on the track will
be the #422 of Quinton Barto, from Hainesport,
New Jersey. Quinton ran the whole AMA
National series in 2010 and had a lot
of success; he looks to continue building
on that this season as he makes the switch
to Polaris.
The “B” division
will also hold two high competitive riders.
First, appearing all the way from Bulgaria,
is Nikolen Kushev. He has won multiple
atv championships abroad and now looks
to come to the USA to up his game. Running
beside him will be Brett Butter from Vineland,
New Jersey. He spent some of last year
injured but looks to make a strong rebound
this season.
Topping off the roster
for team Southside in the NEATV-MX series
will be Bruce Gaspardi Jr. from Cheshire,
MA. Toning it down from last season’s
4 classes, he will be competing in the
collegeboy class only in order to better
help the team off the track. In addition,
the team will travel to a couple of the
AMA Nationals held in PA & NY, but
their presence will still be seen full-time
in AMA Nationals. Running the complete
national schedule will be the #11 of Megan
Manshack in the Pro Womens class.
