Team Southside puts another great
weekend in the books. We headed to MX-207

was great for most of the weekend.

Bobby
Ross went 5-9 in his Pro class
races at MX207 to finish in 7th
overall but faired better in the
Pro-Am class with a 2-9 finish
set for 7th overall again
|
Bobby Ross, on his Polaris Outlaw would have yet another strong weekend in the
pro & pro-am classes, getting out in
the top 3 every moto except one. In the
first moto of Pro, Bobby would get out 2nd
behind Haavisto and hold the position for
a couple laps before Miller would slip by.
Plante & Pilotte would both eventually
make their way by with Bobby finishing a
solid 5th. In the 2nd moto Bobby would get
pushed on to the first corner berm and would
be 9th after the first lap. Bobby would
make his way into the 4th position part
way through the moto Plante would pull back
onto the track after blowing a berm and
knock Bobby off the track and all the way
back to 11th. He would end up 9th in the
moto & 7th overall.
In Pro-am, Bobby would get out 2nd and
was able hold off Haavisto and the rest
of the field for the entire moto to take
home a well deserved 2nd place finish.
In moto 2 Bobby would be 3rd to the first
corner but then Plante would hit him from
behind and spin him sideways sending Bobby
to the rear of the field. He would make
his way up to 7th, and 4th overall for
the day. He is now up to 6th place in
the Pro-Am season points.

Bruce
Gaspardi Jr. put in another hard
effort at MX207 for round 6 as
he claimed 4th overall in 4-Stroke
B & now leads in points for
the Collegeboy & Open B classes
|
Bruce Gaspardi kept going strong, in
4-Stroke B Bruce would get both moto holeshots
and finished 2nd in both motos to take
a 2nd overall. He would move up 2 spots
in the points from 4th to 2nd. In production
B he would also get both moto holeshots
aboard his stock 08’ Outlaw and
go 1-2, finishing 2nd overall. He currently
sits 2nd in Production B points. In Collegeboy,
it would start to down pour while they
were on the gate and Bruce wouldn’t
get off the gate well would be the last
to the first turn. He would make his way
up to 5th before getting stuck on a berm
and going back to 10th. He would end up
making his way up to 7th.
In moto 2, he would get out 3rd and quickly
move into 2nd and that’s were he
would finish, taking a 4th overall. He
is currently leading the points in Collegeboy.
In Open B he would get the first moto
holeshot and go on to win the moto. In
moto 2 he would get out 3rd behind teammate
Whipple and Gravitt. They would both make
their way around Whipple and then with
one lap to go Bruce would out jump Gravitt
on the spectator table to take over the
lead and go on to the win. He would take
overall and maintains the points lead
also.
|
Paige
Whipple grabbed the 2nd moto holeshot
during the Open B class &
finish in 3rd overall on the day,
but put in another dominating
performance in the Women's class
going 1-1 for the overall win
|
Paige Whipple would extend her points lead in the Womens class after going 1-1
and taking both womens moto holeshots. In
the Open B class, she would finish 4th in
the first moto after getting out 2nd right
behind Bruce. In moto 2 she would take the
holeshot but blow a berm to allow Gavitt
and Bruce by and would end up finishing
3rd in the moto and overall.
Team Southside also helped out fellow
friend & racer Curtis Gillian by letting
him use of the Outlaws on Sunday after
he broke the motor case on his quad Saturday
during practice. With only 2 laps of practice
on it Sunday morning, Curtis looked great
out there on it. In Collegeboy he got
out 5th and made his way up to 3rd in
the first moto. In moto 2 he got out 4th
but the 3rd place rider got hung on a
berm and Curtis got stuck behind him but
managed to make his way up to the 7th
spot and finish 5th overall for the day.
The team is headed to Hurricane Hills
in Clifford, PA for Round 7 of the Neatv-Mx
series.
