Bobby back to 3rd where he would finish
the moto.

#1 Joe Haavisto, & #270 Jason
Connell |
In moto 2 Bobby would get out 3rd off
the line and would close in on 2nd spot
before they would get caught up in a corner
where he would fall back to 7th and finish
there giving him 6th overall for the day.
In Pro-Am he wouldn’t get the jump
off the line and have to make his way
up through the field and would make his
way up to the 7th spot.
In moto 2 he would get out mid pack and
was running 6th until on the final lap
of the moto when he would have a mechanical
problem and would have to settle for 12th.
Bobby would end up 9th overall.

Oklahoma's
Caleb Schatz mde the trek to New
England for round 5 where he did
very well for his first time on
the Polaris ATV going 2-2 in Open
A & pulling the moto one holeshot
in 4-stroke A
|
We brought in Caleb B. Schatz from Oklahoma for Round 5 and who will be here for
the remainder of the season that doesn’t
overlap with the TQRA Series as he is and
will continue to pursue championships there.
It was his first race on the Polaris Outlaw
but he adapted very well and looked great
out there going 2-2 for a 2nd overall in
Open A. In the 4-Stroke A class he would
get the moto 1 holeshot and lead some of
the moto before having a mechanical issue
but was still able to finish 7th.
In the 2nd moto we would get out mid
pack but would get tangled and hung in
one of the corners and it would take a
while to get the quad re-fired, but he
did and finished 9th, giving him a 7th
overall. Caleb would also run the Pro-Am
division this weekend and was running
well in the first moto when he had a small
get off and would have to settle for a
13th place finish. But in moto 2 he would
have better luck was able to keep a good
pace and ended up 8th in moto 2, giving
him a 11th overall.

Polaris' Bruce Gaspardi Jr. went
1-2 in Open B to take the overall
win & then went 1-5 in 4-stroke
B for 3rd overall
|
Bruce Gaspardi Jr. kept rolling on his hot streak, coming off great weekends at
Mx-207 & Southwick. He got out 3rd in
the first moto of Open B and would make
his way to the lead and take the moto win.
In moto 2 he would get out 4th and make
his way up to 2nd but ran out of time to
catch the leader, but he still would take
the overall and extend his points lead.
In 4-Stroke B he would get out 2nd and make
his way into the lead and take the moto
win. In moto 2 he would get out 13th and
then blow the berm in the 3rd corner and
fall back to 15th. He then proceeded to
pass his way all the way up to the 5th position
by the end of the moto on what Bruce called
one of the hard tracks to pass on. He would
finish 3rd overall for the day.
In Collegeboy, Bruce would get out 2nd
and take the lead on the 2nd lap but would
then get stuck on a berm and fall back
to 6th and make his way up to 4th. In
moto 2, he would get out 2nd but he and
the leader would both get hung up in one
of the corners and Bruce would all back
to 6th. He would quickly make his way
up to 4th but would be involved in another
accident when a rider pulled back on to
the track in front of him and causing
them to get tangled up. Bruce would get
the quad refired and make his way back
into the 3rd spot then and he would make
the pass for 2nd at the flag giving him
2nd overall.
“When I came around on the white
flag lap, Garry wrote that 2nd place was
7 seconds ahead of me, so I just put my
head down and put the best lap down I
could, and was able to make the pass at
the finish line, I was so excited.”
In the Production B class, Bruce would
get out 4th and he and 2 other riders
would get tangled in a corner and he would
fall back to 5th. and make his way up
to 2nd by the end of the moto. In moto
2 he would get the holeshot and hold on
to the lead, taking the moto win and overall
for the day.

Paige
Whipple was on fire in all of
her motos during Sunday's race
but most noteably was her ability
to lead the all-guy Open B class
for the majority of the race until
a slight mistake in a corner let
her teammate Gaspardi slip by
|
Paige Whipple has also been on a hot streak and did not disappoint this past weekend
taking three holeshots out of 4 motos. In
the womens class, moto 1 would be the only
time she wouldn’t get out first but
she would make her way up to front of the
pack and take the moto win. In moto 2 she
would get the holeshot this time and never
look back taking the win and the overall,
extending her points lead to 56 points.
In the Open B class she would get the moto
one holeshot and was able to lead part of
the moto before falling back to 3rd where
she would finish. In moto 2 she would again
get the holeshot and again would lead part
of the moto but would fall back a couple
spots and finish 4th in the moto and 3rd
overall for the weekend which is an amazing
feat for Paige be so competitive in the
B class.
We are heading back to Mx-207 in Lyman,
Maine for the 6th round of the 2010 Neatv-Mx
series this coming weekend.
