Team Southside's Paige Whipple & Bruce Gaspardi Jr,

North Adams, MA (12/10/2010) - This season Team Southside was a top contender each and every weekend in every class that they entered. The team as a whole ran 202 motos this season, over 80 podiums and 150 top 5 finishes. They also finished every moto, aka 0 dnfs.

Paige Whipple from Ledyard CT took home the Womens championship for the 2nd time three years, and also placing 6th overall in the Open B class. She was a dominate force on the starting gate taking over 75% of the holeshots. She has decided to retire from ATV racing (for the most part) and pursue other opportunities.

Bruce Gaspardi Jr. who ran 4 classes all season totaling over 80 motos came away with 2 championships in the Open B & Collegeboy classes, while he finished 2nd in Production B and 3rd in 4-Stroke B for the season. He was one of two riders on the series that ran 4 classes and was awarded the Iron Man Award. He will be back on the track next season, in what class(es) isn’t known yet.

Also, while at the banquet we unveiled our 2011 Polaris Outlaw, which we’ll once again be racing. With many sponsors still being worked out, what we know for sure is that Rage will be doing all of the motors, Walsh will be building the A-Arms, Rath their Nerf Bars, Heel guards, and bumpers, Fox Racing Shox in the front and rear, and Scott-Sports gear head to toe with their all new lineup of helmets, boots, goggles, chest protectors and gear.

And finally, Jurie Botter Meyer was announced as the Teams “A” Class rider at all of the NEATV Events and select AMA Nationals. Jurie who is from South Africa, came to the USA last year and ran a couple events and really turned a lot of heads, so it’s going be really exciting to have someone of his caliber in the A classes next season. Also signed was the #58 of Megan Manshack to compete in the Womens class at all of the AMA Nationals next season on the Polaris against the likes of Byrd, Natalie, Dyer & the rest of them so keep an eye out for her!
