Craig Kilner Ends British Quad Supermoto Season With Win

United Kingdom (11/7/2013) - Newly crowned 2013 Norasport British Supermoto Champion Craig Kilner dominated in the final round (nine) at the superb Three Sisters circuit in Wigan. After recently returning from competing at the world’s biggest supermoto event (Mettet) in Belgium, Craig had little time to get his 500cc 2 stroke twin Rotax engine quad prepared for the Norasport organised event. But that wasn’t going to stop him from putting everything into the last round.

Qualifying went well and despite the excellent competition from Mike Taylor, Craig managed to take pole position. Taylor took a blistering holeshot as he left the start line on just two wheels! Not to be outdone, Craig immediately caught him up on the next dirt section, making a superb pass on the tabletop and began to pull a gap. Taylor was then forced to pull up. Joe and brother Sam Hodgson were just too far behind to challenge the lead as Craig finished ahead by 14.5 seconds.

Taylor’s troubles worsened as he was unable to repair the quad and forced out of the final two races. Craig took the holeshot in race two with John Dennan close behind him and keeping within distance until he suffered issues with his exhaust. Putting the hammer down, Craig pushed on looking to bring down his lap times, once again taking fastest lap as he finished 16 seconds ahead of Dennan and Mark Beevers.

With the aim of winning the final race of the year, Craig took the holeshot and from the start, gave it everything to build a gap from the chasing pack. With great consistency and reliability, Craig superbly steered his quad to yet another victory - dominating with an impressive three wins from three.
