/ Yamaha's Thomas Brown took third at
AMA ATV MX Round 6 |
Sanger, TX (6/26/2012) -TBROWN
YAMAHA/MOTO-XPERTS Rider Thomas Brown put in two
solid moto’s this past weekend ending with
a 2-3 finish for 3rd overall at Round 6 of the
AMA ATV MX CHAMPIONSHIP Series held at High Point
Raceway in Mount Morris, PA.
“I knew when we hit the track for qualifying
that we were going to have a good weekend. My
YFZ450R was almost perfect right out of the
trailer and we made only minor changes to it
before the first moto.” stated Brown.
When the gate dropped for the first moto, Thomas
found himself upfront battleing for the lead.
Thomas moved up into the 2nd position by the
fouth lap and began a charge to the front. On
lap seven, Thomas took the race lead but very
shortly after made a mistake and was relagated
back to the 2nd position where he would finish
the moto. Moto 2 would be a hard fought battle
for the podium, Thomas rounded the first corner
in 5th place and quickly settled into the pace
of the leaders. By lap seven, Thomas moved up
into the 3th position and was locked into a
battle with Josh Upperman in 4th. Thomas was
able to hold off the hard charging Upperman
and hold the 3rd position to the checkered flag,
securing his first podium finish in 2012.

came together this weekend and it felt really
good, I can’t wait to get to the next
round and put some more YAMAHA Blue back on
the podium.
