Long Beach, CA (12/4/2009)
- As many racers are still scrambling to find
support for next season, Josh Creamer is one
who no longer has that worry. The official announcement
was made today at the International Motorcycle
Show in Long Beach, California that Josh Creamer
will be joining the Suzuki ATV Motocross team
with Dustin Wimmer for the 2010 race season.
“I’m very excited to be a part
of the Suzuki team for next year. Suzuki is
sort of an elite team and I have always wanted
to be a part of it,” said Josh Creamer,
who admits being on a new bike will take some
getting used to, but he is very much looking
forward to that challenge. “The Suzuki
LTR450 is a great bike and I’ve been
told it is easy to adjust to, so I am looking
forward to getting it out on the track and
getting in some good seat time,” he
said.
Supporting Creamer out on the track will
be Joe Havel, who was Doug Gust’s mechanic
last year. “Joe is one of the best and
really knows the Suzuki, so I am glad to be
working with him and getting the bike dialed
in,” stated Creamer.
Josh Creamer will be making his debut on
the Suzuki Quadracer sometime during the DWT
World Motocross Series that will kick off
its first season in mid December, however,
Creamer says it is unlikely he will be in
attendance for rounds one and two, scheduled
for December 12th and 13th. “I don’t
think we will have a bike ready in time for
the first rounds, but I do plan on making
the next one,” Creamer explained.
Even though he only has a few short months
to get ready for the 2010 season, Creamer
is optimistic on how he and his new machine
will perform. “The Suzuki has proven
itself as a winner and I think that Dustin
(Wimmer) and I will be in close competition
this coming year,” said Creamer confidently.
Over the last couple of seasons, Josh Creamer
has been consistently getting faster and smoother
out on the track and now with a winning program
to support him, he will definitely be a contender
for the 2010 AMA ATV Pro Motocross Championship.
