Brea, CA (9/15/2010)
- Chris Borich proved that he is still in top
form after the 10-week break in the season as
he piloted his 2010 Suzuki QuadRacer R450 to
victory on Saturday at the Unadilla round of
the 2010 AMA/GNCC series. Saturday's victory
marks his eighth win of the season, and extends
his championship points lead to 44.
Borich got off to a solid start aboard his
QuadRacer R450, and stayed near the front
of the pack for much of the race. Borich bided
his time, putting constant pressure on the
leaders and waiting for the perfect opportunity
to strike. That opportunity came on the final
lap, when the race leader made a mistake that
Borich capitalized on to take the lead. Once
out in front, Borich poured on the power of
his QuadRacer R450 to extend his lead and
take the win.
Borich is now the owner of a 44-point advantage
in the race for the 2010 championship title,
a lead that is made even more significant
by the fact that there are only 3 races left
on the 2010 GNCC schedule. With so few races
remaining, Chris is in an excellent position
to take the championship title once again.
The next round of AMA/GNCC racing action
will take place September 25-26 in Layfayette,
Tennessee. Expect Borich to be there and ready
to take the win aboard his Suzuki QuadRacer
R450.
