Brea, CA (5/4/2009) - The Rockstar Makita Suzuki ATV motocross team has dominated so far this season, with either the defending back-to-back champion Dustin Wimmer or new teammate Josh Creamer taking the win at every round. The team can now add Danville, Virginia’s, Birch Creek Motorsports to their list of wins as Creamer raced to his second overall victory this year.

“The Rockstar Makita Suzuki was running great again this week!” Creamer said. “I took second in the first moto behind Dustin, then first in the second moto. I didn’t have the same good luck with the holeshot like last time, but I came up from behind and took the win overall.”

Wimmer got off to a great start at the Danville event with a win in his first moto, and a holeshot in the second, but then had a stroke of bad luck when his seat came off unexpectedly. “Josh and I had a great battle going in the first moto,” said Wimmer. “After that seat came off in the second moto, there wasn’t much I could do so I just rode the best I could.” Wimmer managed to fight through the rest of the race and placed fifth despite the difficulties with the seat, making it a 1-2 finish for Suzuki.

Creamer’s second victory moves him up into the points lead with 131 points to previous-leader Wimmer’s 129. When asked to comment on the swap in positions with his teammate, Wimmer responded, “Josh is ahead, but it’s still anybody’s game, really. It could swing either way for us at every event.” With the two Suzuki riders trading wins, they have begun to build a sizeable lead over the rest of the competition. The next-closest rider is 28 points behind Creamer at 103.

The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team’s dominance of the track couldn’t be accomplished without the help of a top-notch racing machine, and the 2010 Suzuki QuadRacer R450 has proven itself to be just that. No other quad has seen the top step of the podium this season, and if the Suzuki racers have their way, that’s how it’s going to stay.

The upcoming fourth round of the 2010 ATV MX championship will be held at Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, IL, on May 15-16.
