Suzuki's
Chris Borich Wins his 8th Straight
GNCC Race to finish out the 2009 season
with 10 Wins
|
Brea, CA (10/26/2009) -Although
Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Chris Borich
won the 2009 GNCC ATV title two rounds prior,
the newly crowned champion still gave it his
all at this past weekend’s final round
at the Klotz Ironman in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Borich’s hard work and talent paid off,
as the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider got a
good start on his QuadRacer R450 and ran in
a conservative third place for much of the
race before taking over the lead on the final
lap. With that move, Borich took the final
win of the year and topped off his already-stellar
season. This year, Borich won the last eight
consecutive races and 10 events overall for
the season. He and the Rockstar Makita Suzuki
crew will return next year to defend their
hard-earned
title.
Chris Borich:
“The Klotz Ironman is one of the
best tracks we race at. I really had fun out
there. I kind of paced myself until the final
lap and then I pushed hard on the Rockstar
Makita Suzuki QuadRacer R450. The track was
awesome. There were some really gnarly hill
climbs and lots of people were getting hung
up on them, but I was lucky and didn’t
have any problems. It’s a really good
feeling to go out there and win 10 races and
end the season on a high note like that. There
were so many fans at this round, too. They
were lining the track everywhere. It was pretty
incredible. I’m really happy to have
had such a good season and to have given Suzuki
a championship. I have to thank Rockstar Makita
Suzuki and all of my sponsors. I had a phenomenal
season and I couldn’t have done it without
their help and support.”
