Ripxx Announces Sponsorship
of Pro AMA ATV MX Racer Cody Grant
Long Beach, CA (7/26/2010)
- Ripxx Racing has signed AMA pro class newcomer,
Cody Grant to be its latest sponsored athlete.
Currently a Yoshimura rider and member of the
Media Allstars team, this 24-year-old Kentucky
native now has one more sponsor under his belt.
Already securing some great finishes in his first
pro season, Grant has placed in the top ten several
times thus far. Though he is racing alongside
pro class veterans like Pat Brown and Dustin Wimmer,
Grant is making a point to prove he’s not
the underdog. When he isn’t home working
on his family’s farm, you can find him on
the track training with Ripxx, giving himself
an advantage over his fellow riders.
“I am very excited about getting the opportunity
to work with Ripxx for multiple reasons,”
Grant said. “With all the features I believe
the product will prove to be very beneficial in
improving my performance on and off the track.
I am really looking forward to putting Ripxx to
work for me and introducing it to ATV motocross.
I think it will be a big hit with anyone who is
serious about racing, and wants to improve their
results.”
The Ripxx Personal Measurement Device is a small
device about the size of a cell phone. It contains
a suite of sensors, along with a GPS tracking
chip that records every move the athlete makes.
Speed, acceleration, air time, lap time, split
times, max speed, and numerous other stats can
all be measured. Following the run, Ripxx software
enables the athlete to view his or her performance
and results. Riders can even watch and compare
motos with other riders.
“We developed the Ripxx so serious MXers
and other outdoor sports athletes could improve
their performances,” said Dr. Kurt Nichol,
lead scientist and president of Ripxx, Inc. Whether
the Ripxx is used for training, or just bragging
rights, this device is a sure-shot to make athletes
better.
The Ripxx Team is proud to welcome Cody Grant
as its newest rider. The expectations for this
up-and-coming rider are though the roof. Keep
an eye out for him in the AMA ATV series.
