Rage ATV Racers Top Podium at Extreme Dirt Track Round Five
Extreme Dirt Track Nationals - Round 5 - Pine Lake - Ashtabula, OH - July 24, 2011

Rage ATV Racing's Harold Goodman

Rage ATV Racing's Harold Goodman & Kirby Cooke dominated the podium in both Pro & Pro-Am Classes

Splendora, TX (07/27/2011) – Harold Goodman, Kirby Cooke, and Tyler Deister dominated their classes this weekend, taking wins all around and putting Rage ATV on top of the podium at round number five of the 2011 Extreme Dirt Track Series.

Ashtabula, OH hosted this round of the series that saw Harold Goodman extend his Pro points lead after taking another win and followed it up with the Pro-am Unlimited class win as well.

As racers left the line for the Pro main event, Rage ATV’s Harold Goodman was in fifth off the start, but by the second turn, Goodman had worked his way into the number two spot and was chasing down the leader. Goodman put the hammer down and in the third lap was able to take over the lead. From there Goodman put a 5 second gap between him and the competition and cruised his way to the checkered flag for the Pro class win. “I went out there and did what I needed to do and I was able to take the win and get a better cushion in the points lead. This was a big weekend for Rage ATV because they have three racers topping the podium in their classes this weekend and I think that says a lot. I have to thank Dee and everyone at Rage ATV for all of their support and helping me get on the podium,” stated Goodman.

In the Pro-am Class, Goodman grabbed the holeshot and led from start to finish, taking another win and extending his points lead in that class as well. If all goes well, Goodman could very well be on his way to a dual championship at the end of the season. “I’m just going to keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully take a couple more wins and get a championship,” said Goodman.

Rage ATV’s Kirby Cooke was also in top form this weekend as he gave Goodman a tough fight in both the Pro and Pro-am classes. Cooke was sixth off the start behind Goodman in the Pro class and was able to work into the number two spot. Cooke closed in on Goodman but was not able to make a move before the checkered flag was waved, but Cooke made a strong showing and joined Goodman on the Pro podium in second place.

In the Pro-am class, Cooke was in second off the start behind Goodman and held his position all the way to the finish line, again joining Goodman on the podium in second, but it was in the Pro-am Unlimited class where Kirby Cooke really showed his full potential.

Rage ATV's Kirby Cooke

Cooke took the Pro-Am Unlimited win aboard his Rage ATV powered Honda TRX450R ATV at Pine Lake

Cooke was second off the start in the Pro-am unlimited class and charged his way into the lead early in the race and checked out on the competition. Cooke put down some blistering lap times, taking the Pro-am Unlimited win. “We were definitely due. I couldn’t be happier to be up here and take a win for Rage ATV. We had some issues earlier this season and after we started working with Rage, everything has turned around for us,” said Cooke, who is currently third in points in the Pro-am Unlimited class and is hoping to move up before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Rage ATV’s Tyler Deister had a phenomenal weekend at Ashtabula. Deister not only claimed the win in the 90 Modified class but also in the School Boy Sr. class. Deister also went on to take a solid second in the Schoolboy Jr. class. The young racer is also the current points leader in all three classes, and with a little luck, could take home a triple championship at the end of the season.

“We are all really proud of Harold, Kirby, and Tyler. Not only are they great people to work with, but they give it their all every time they are out there. They did an excellent job this weekend and put us on the podium so we are very excited!” stated Rage ATV owner, Dee Manshack.

Round number six of the Extreme Dirt Track Series will be heading to Tri-City Speedway in franklin, PA on August 6th where Harold Goodman, Kirby Cooke, and Tyler Deister will again be racing for the top of the podium.
