Pro Motorsports' Matt Hancock Takes SxS Win Sand Hollow WORCS
Matt Hancock Second in WORCS Racing Pro-Am Class

Hurricane, UT (4/17/2014) - It was a great weekend for Pro Motorsport’s Matt Hancock at round four of the 2014 WORCS series held at Sand Hollow State Park as he came away with a second place finish in the Pro-am ATV class and claimed the win in the SxS 1000 class to take over the points lead.

Hancock was in the top five off the start in the WORCS Pro-am Class, and he held down third for two laps before making his move into second. “My Sparks motor and Maxxis tires hooked up great off the start. I was in third for a couple of laps and was able to take over second and stay there until the finish,” said Hancock, who has a strong background in desert riding.

Hancock has claimed a spot on the podium in three out of four rounds so far this year, and he is currently second in points in the WORCS Pro-am class and just one point behind the number one spot. “It’s been a great season for me so far and I really can’t thank all my sponsors enough for helping me get here,” said Hancock.

In the SxS 1000 class, Hancock was looking good as he came off the line. Hancock grabbed the holeshot, but fell back to second. Hancock stayed close to the leader and soon had an opportunity to take over the lead. “I just set my pace and my Walker Evans Shocks were able to handle everything out there. In the last lap, the leader had some issues, and I was able to take over the lead and take my first win!” exclaimed Hancock.

“This win was really huge for me. I have been wanting to get one all season, and it finally happened. Now I am in the points lead, and I am really stoked about that. I’m going to do whatever I can to make sure I stay there. I really can’t say enough about Maxxis tires. We ran them on the quad and the SxS and they performed so well in the sand,” said Hancock.

Elka Suspension’s Hancock also claimed his fourth straight top three finish in the Open A class with a third place at Sand Hollow to maintain his points lead, which has Hancock leading points race in two classes and is only one point out of the lead in the other as the WORCS series approaches the mid-way point of the season.

“I can’t believe how well this season has gone for me so far. My Pro Motorsport’s quad is running great and so is my RZR. I am really looking forward to the next round,” Hancock added.

Round five of the 2014 WORCS series will head to Ridgecrest, CA on May 10-11th where Hancock will be looking for wins in all of three of his classes.
