Oakland, KY (7/20/2011) - Dalton
Millican had a big weekend riding his PARTS PLUS
Honda at the legendary Unadilla Motorsports in
New Berlin, New York. Millican who is very close
to winning the National Title in the very tough
450A class got with his team and the decision
was made to make the big jump into the Pro Am
Unlimited class.
Millican started his weekend with his thirteenth
straight holeshot in moto one of the 450A class.
Millican maintained his for the early part of
the race before being passed by the former Pro
rider Travis Spader and left the door open for
Michael Bluy as well. Millican finished the moto
in third place.
Just a few minutes after the first moto of the
450A class it was time for Millican to make his
first start in the Pro Am Unlimited class. Millican
really made a good debut with an eighth place
finish. With that debut out of the way Millican
had more time to prepare for the second moto of
the Pro Am Unlimited class. Millican did everything
but pull the holeshot at the start when he found
the Pro Am riders are quite a bit more aggressive.
Millican was essentially pushed off the track
at the first turn. Millican had to battle his
way to an eleventh place finish. This gave Millican
a ninth place overall for his debut race in Pro
Am Unlimited.
In the second moto of 450A much like the first
Millican found himself battling with Michael Bluy
for the overall victory. In what was a very close
race Bluy was able to hold off Millican to take
the overall win. Millican left Unadilla with a
second place overall finish.
