Parts Plus' Dalton Millican
Wins Steel City MX
AMA
Pro ATV Motocross Championships – Round
6 – Steel City MX – May 21, 2011
Oakland, KY (5/24/2011) - Dalton
Millican, riding his Parts Plus Honda, raced this
past weekend in Delmont Pennsylvania. Millican
had a great outing at the sixth stop on the AMA
ATV Motocross Series at Steel City Raceway.
Moto one of the Production A class found Millican
with a great holeshot leading the pack around
the first turn. Millican took the checkered flag
with a comfortable four second lead over the second
place finisher. Moto two again found Millican
and his Parts Plus Honda with the lead at the
start of the race. This time however it was a
battle to the finish with Tyler Hamrick, who was
only a half second behind when he took the checkered
flag. Millican with two moto wins was the overall
champion in Prodution A. “This was my first
overall win in Production A and it feels great
to be standing on the top of the podium. It was
a great battle with Tyler in that second moto.
I just really have to thank our whole Parts Plus
team for this win” Millican said.
The 450A class at Steel City saw close racing
in both motos. Millican as he had done in both
motos of Production A, had the holeshot in both
motos of 450A. Millican however was not able to
take the overall win but came away with a second
place finish for the weekend. Millican continues
to lead the points in the 450A class but he did
lose a few to Tyler Hamrick who is only 31 points
behind Millican in the chase to be 450A National
Champion.
