Parts Plus' Dalton Millican
Wins Budds Creek MX
AMA ATV MX Nationals - Round
4 - Budds Creek MX - April 17, 2011
Oakland, KY (4/25/2011) -Dalton
Millican, riding his Parts Plus Honda, wins again
this time at the famous Budds Creek MX track in
Mechanicsville, MD. A beautiful day of practice
on Friday turned to major thunderstorms on Saturday.
The track conditions were indescribable as the
rain continually pounded the track.
In moto one of the 450A class Millican got the
lead at the drop of the gate and never trailed.
Millican won the moto by 1.5 seconds over the
second place rider.
“Our team did a fantastic job preparing
the bike for this moto. There were huge water
holes all over the track but the bike never once
sputtered. Even with the lead I had to take off
my goggles because I ran out of tear offs. It
was raining so hard you couldn’t see ten
foot in front of you” Millican said.
Sunday was a beautiful sunny day which meant the
team had to prepare for a completely different
set of track conditions for moto two of the 450A
class. Prepare they did, again at the drop of
the gate Millican made his way to the lead and
never looked back. Millican was the overall winner
in 450A for the third time this season in only
four races.
Production A class was a wild one with the rain
on Saturday and a beautiful day on Sunday. Moto
one in the mud and rain Millican raced his way
to a third place finish. Moto two on Sunday Millican
again found himself crossing the finish line in
third place. This gave Millican yet another podium,
his fourth podium in four events this season.
