Oregon Sandfest - North Bend,

North Bend, OR (2/23/2012) -
On February 21, 2012, the Oregon, Coos County
board of Commissioners, unanimously voted to hold
"The Original Sandfest" at Riley Ranch
County park and mark the beginning of a long term
relationship with Sandfest, which starts annually
on the third Wednesday of July and last through
Saturday. This decision was fully supported by
the head of Coos County Parks as well the Coos
County Sheriff’s Department.
Work will begin immediately at the Riley Ranch
County park to build a new permanent 300' sand
drag strip along with an addition to the 1.2 mile
long MX track that is already useable and nearly
finished.
Riley Ranch is also developing a dedicated kids
riding area, new docks on Butterfield lake, which
is in the park & also swimming, fishing and
electric motored boats.
All of this will be accessible from the highway
as well as the Sand dunes, via the new access
bridge that will have the official ribbon cutting
at 11am on March 9, 2012.
