2012 NEATV-MX ATV Racing Series Preview
New England ATV Motocross Racing Series Starts April 14, 2012

Shelton, CT (4/13/2012) - The New England ATV Motocross Series is headed into its eleventh season with some exciting classes sure to bring many riders and spectators. Returning to the series is the pitbike class held on Saturdays, as well as Trophy Karts, which will be ran on the regular MX track. The side by side class will return this season and run with the new 4x4 class that will be like a terra cross extreme style of racing. The track for these classes will be on some motocross track, but mostly logs, rocks, and mud; a real mix of terrain. “I’m really excited about the 4x4 class, and I think it is going to grow really well” said President of the NEATV-MX Series, Howard Payne.

This season the Pro class doesn’t look to be very full, with only four riders signed up to race in the Pro class so far. The riders signed up are returning runner up Josh Creamer who will be on a Can-Am/BCS Performance quad, Travis Moore who is said to be riding a Polaris this season, and two well known NEATV-MX riders, Brad Burbine and Tommy Lombardo. “I’m sure we will get visits from everybody, hopefully even some national guys,” said Payne. The Pro-Am class should be well stocked with riders that have moved up from their classes of last season.

“The memberships have been rolling in strong as ever, and I think with the weather looking good for this weekend were going to have a good turnout,” said Payne when asked about his outlook on the season this year. Great contingencies will be offered again this year and the sponsorships are going strong with Can-Am, Maxxis, DWT, and Fly gear all signed for the season.

This season the NEATV-MX series will visit popular tracks like MX207 in Lyman, Maine, MX338 in Southwick, MA, Hemond’s MXP in Minot, Maine, Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, and a few others. Labor Day will be a fun weekend with a huge bash and a professional fireworks display said to be planned at Hurricane Hills in Clifford, PA. Twister Valley in Fort Plain, NY is new to the schedule and will be where the season finale will be held.

The season opener of the NEATV-MX series will be at Walden MX, Wallkill, New York this weekend, April 14 and 15. Hope to see you there!
