New East Extreme Dirt Track Racing Schedule
NE EDT Flat Track Racing Series

Otisville, NY (2/24/2014) - Four years ago the NE EDT series was born and today the New East Extreme Dirt Track (NE EDT) series formally known as North East Extreme Dirt Track is moving towards our 4th season. Since 2011, the main goal of the series was to develop an affordable series for all riders where every rider is a member and every rider has a voice. Over the past few years the series has slowly expanded from eastern New York to tracks in Pennsylvania and western New York. Last season marked the first year it stepped out of Pennsylvania and New York and traveled to the nations oldest running ATV track at Pine Lake in Ashtabula, Ohio.

This year the series is going to take one more giant step and will be traveling to North Carolina for 2 rounds at two of North Carolina’s best ATV TT racing tracks at Kingston and Black Ankle. With only 4 trips as part of the five race schedule with a double race in Pine Lake, and another race at Batavia Speedway the series is hoping this can help riders save some money and take less time away from home and still be a part of one of the countries best ATV TT series. Some of the countries fastest TT riders and national champions are already regulars in the NE EDT series and there is more of the countries fastest Pro and amateur riders planning on joining the NE EDT family this season.

The series is going old school as they are officially offering a full schedule for 3 wheelers to be a part of a National series, which TPC Trikes is offering a $100 hole shot award at each round for our 3 wheelers. This is the first time in 27 years that 3 wheelers can compete for a National Title. The series offers several trophy classes, which are a 14-24 age class, 25+ age class, 35+ age class, women's class and a 200/400cc class. For our youth the series is offering 4 classes which are 0- 50cc, 50-70cc, and 70-90cc classes and the 4th youth class being a brand new added 100% money payback class for our youth riders, so even our youth like the pro riders can win cash at every event. For those who just wanted to try out atv TT racing, the series also will be offering a non-point novice class for those looking to give TT racing a shot without having to compete against the regular series riders.

It does not stop there with even more exciting news that the series is also adding a pit bike class for 2014, which is both fun to participate in or watch and of course the chance to win some more money. NE EDT series is still offering our 3 money payback levels of classes which are an amateur level money class which is expanding to offer 2 classes this season (Open B/C and Pro-Lite/A Division) and of course to our 2 top level riders our Pro-Am and Pro riders.  There is a chance for every level of rider to win cash at every event from youth to pro’s, to walk away with a little more than a plaque. The series also offers sponsored supported money hole shot awards at every event which is available to every class and is chosen randomly for several classes at every event. The series now has many national recognized sponsors becoming involved like our 2014 title sponsor Hellbound Racing who is back again. Great yearend awards, contingency plans available from places like G-Force Powersports, Hoosier Tire and so many others in the works.

Totally new for ATV racing is the team challenge. The NE EDT Team Challenge is where someone or a company would put together a three entry team, scoring points at every round to win the ultimate year end prize a NE EDT team Championship.  Each team will be charged an entry fee which is collected prior to the season and all that money goes into the yearend pot for those teams. The more teams the larger the pot, which could easily reach in the thousands for the winning teams.

The NE EDT has some special events planned with a freestyle MX, family centered functions, XC race, and several other special events being planned to take place during an event. With 20+ Pro’s at the gate there is a potential for over $5,000 in a purse available to our pro riders at an event and well over another $1,000 potentially available to our amateur riders with a full gate at an event. NE EDT now has the potential to have one of the largest amateur purses available in ATV TT racing in the country.
