Gibson

Reynoldsburg, OH (3/12/2010) -
Mill Creek was the hosting facility for round
one of the SE Quad series where the Mushin Racing
team’s Cody Gibson and Kodi Ward turned
out to get some pre-season practice that resulted
in podium finishes for both racers.
Although on his stock practice bike, Cody Gibson
still managed to take second overall. In moto
one, Gibson was last off the line, but was able
to work his way through a class of about twenty
riders to finish in second. In moto two, Gibson
was on fire, but a close encounter with another
rider caused Gibson to flip his Suzuki LTR450,
sending him to the back of the pack. Gibson,
who was uninjured put on a hard charge to work
his way to the number three spot, which would
give him second overall for the day. When asked
if he had anything to say regarding the race,
Gibson only had one thing to say. “I just
want everyone to know, I love my Momma!”
he said with a laugh.
Team owner Scott Ward was a little more serious
about the day’s race. “Everything
went great. We went out there to get some practice
in before Nationals start and Cody did a great
job,” he said.

Ward

Youth racer Kodi Ward was also on hand at the
SE Quad race and did well, taking second and
third overall in his respective classes.
After the race, the team headed down to Panama
City, FL where they will be doing a little training
and testing. “We’re testing a new
pipe that we sat down and developed with FMF
and it’s working really good and putting
out some impressive numbers, said Scott Ward,
who is eagerly awaiting to have the team debut
the exhaust system when Nationals get under
way later this month.
“I’m ecstatic about how the team
is shaping up and the support we have so far
and I’m really looking forward to the
beginning of the season. I think our riders
are going to do very well,” stated Ward.
The Mushin Racing team will be training hard
over the next couple of weeks to prepare for
the pro round one of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross
Nationals that will kick off on March 27th –
28th at Mill Creek MX in Pell City, AL.
