Mushin
Racing's Ashton Ward finished out his
season in 2nd place overall in the 50cc
limited junior class |
Reynoldsburg, OH (8/18/2010) -
During the 2010 AMA-ATV Motocross Championship
season the youth members of Mushin Racing came,
saw and conquered. Their youthful energy and competitive
spirit paid huge dividends for the newly formed
team all season long, especially at the final
round of the series hosted by Racer Productions
at the legendary Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch on
August 14/15, 2010. As a team, the Mushin Racing
youth logged 6 Top Ten finishes and 3 Top Five
finishes at the final round held in the hills
of Western Tennessee which netted the team 7 Top
Ten finishes and 3 Top Five finishes in the 2010
AMA-ATV MX Championship series' final overall
standings.
Proving that "Dynamite comes in small
packages.", Ashton Ward, the 50cc Limited
Junior class competitor of the Mushin Racing
youth forces, took his lumps at Loretta's finishing
in the 10th spot, but didn't let that deter
him from bringing home 2nd place in the overall
points standings in the class. Young Ashton
captured one win, two seconds, and a third place
finish during the season to keep himself on
the 50 Limited Jr. podium come banquet time
in November.

Mushin
Racing's Maci Davenport also captured
2nd place overall for her 2010 season
after her numerous podium finishes in
the 90 Auto Sr. class |
If Ashton Ward is the "dynamite in a small
package" for the Mushin Racing youth team
then Maci Devenport is the "femme fatale"
of the team. Competing in the 90 Auto Senior
class, Maci stuck to her race game and bruised,
if not demolished, numerous male egos on her
way to a commanding finish in the class.
With two wins, three seconds and three third
place event finishes, she clawed her way to
not only a 3rd place finish overall at the final
2010 AMA-ATV MX round but put her self in the
history books as the only young lady to take
a top three podium spot in the overall series'
points standings. With her season long performance,
Devenport captured 2nd in the overalls in the
90 Auto Sr. ranks.

Mushin
Racing's Kodi Ward recovered from an early
injury in the season to come back &
take 6th place overall in the 90 Auto
Junior Class |
Injury plagued young Kodi Ward in the early part
of the season and at one point he was a long shot
to make any waves at all in the 90 Auto Junior
class. As a matter of fact, after the 5th round
he was ranked 18th in the class and his 2010 debut
in the class wasn't looking good. Taking matters
to heart, Kodi nursed his way back to health,
improving round after round in his racing program,
and, after a 3rd place finish in the class at
Loretta's, managed to finish an inspiring 6th
place in the overall series' points rankings when
the season ended.

the Mushin Racing youth team at Loretta's and
for the 2010 season are:
