Racing owner Scott Ward talks to ATV MX
National announcer Rodney Tomblin at Red
Bud |
Reynoldsburg, OH (8/4/2010) - When a person possesses the talents
to make more than just a buck or two in his business
life and along with that gift possesses a passion
for the sport of ATV racing, you have a man who
is not afraid to share not only his wealth but
his passion for the sport. Scott Ward of Reynoldsburg,
Ohio and the owner of this year's newly formed
Mushin Racing Pro, Amateur and Youth team, just
happens to be one of those kind of men. With the
desire to make ATV racing one of the most prominent
motorsports in the nation, Ward understands that
what you put into something you get back and that
people are the most important part of any given
sport.
During Round 10 of the 2010 AMA-ATV Motocross
Championship, Ward along with the Ritchie family,
promoters of the Red Bud Motocross facility,
offered up a Saturday evening filled with money
machines, bike races, limbo contest and other
activities. When all was said and done, the
racers, families and friends who attended this
Saturday evening gathering had smiles on their
faces, a few bucks in their pockets, and a common
agreement that the activities that Scott Ward
and the Ritchie family had put together were
the best they'd ever attended at a national
motocross event.
All in all, Ward and the Ritchies gave away
$3000 in cash and enough prizes to bring the
total to around $5000.
The event, tagged as the "Mushin Racing/Red
Bud Stimulus Package" attracted well over
1000 people and everyone was ready to race on
Sunday after enjoying this Saturday evening
extravaganza. To cap off their generosity, Ward
and the Ritchie's also made a generous donation
to long time ATV racer Todd Macke to help him
continue his efforts to help those with disabilities
enjoy riding and racing ATVs.
