Unadilla was the hosting facility where the
Mushin team would take several podium positions,
including Pro-am Production racer Jeffrey Rastrelli.
In the first Pro-am moto, Rastrelli was in the
top five off the line and worked his way into
the number three position before taking the
checkered flag. In moto two, Rastrelli grabbed
the holeshot and held the lead for five laps
despite intense pressure from Joel Hetrick.
Rastrelli would eventually find himself in second
place as he crossed the finish line, but his
strong 3-2 finishes would give him the second
spot on the podium.
Chase Snapp put on a strong effort as well.
Snapp would take second off the line in moto
one and hold that position from start to finish.
In moto two, Snapp worked his way up from a
mid-pack start to take a solid third place finish,
giving him the final position on the Pro-am
podium.

Chase Snapp was second out of the gate
for moto one & stayed there for the
entire moto while in moto two he had his
work cut out for him as he worked his
way up to a 3rd place finish which would
put him in 3rd overall on the podium for
the day

In the College class, Brian Johnson would go
3-1 to top the podium and increase his points
lead to 185 points. Meanwhile, Maci Devenport,
who has been teaching the boys a thing or two
in the 90 Auto Sr. class, would take consistent
2-3 finishes to claim second overall in her
class. Devenport is only one point away from
the class points lead and if all goes in her
favor for the next two rounds, she could easily
take the championship.
In the Pro Production class, Thomas Brown would
put in two solid motos, taking 6-7 finishes,
which would earn him eighth overall. Brown is
currently ranked sixth in the Pro Production
points.
Absent from the Pro class this round was Cody
Gibson. “I gave Cody a week’s paid
vacation for his birthday,” stated team
manager, Scott Ward, who assured that Gibson
will be in attendance for round ten at Red Bud
where Mushin Racing has something special planned.
“We’re calling it the Mushin Racing
Stimulus Package,” stated Ward. “We’re
going to be giving away $3000.00 cash, Mushin
Racing T-shirts, bracelets and a bunch of other
stuff.”
The “Stimulus Package” festivities
will get underway at 7:00pm on Saturday, July
31st at Red Bud in Buchanan, MI of round number
ten of the AMA ATV Motocross Championships.
There are no raffle tickets or anything of the
sort to purchase as everyone in attendance is
eligible for the cash and prizes that will be
given away. Mushin Racing invites everyone to
attend!
