Production Racer Chase Snapp grabbed the
holeshot in his Pro-Am Production moto
one but came in 2nd place, in moto two
however he took the holeshot again &
went 2-1 to take the win |
Reynoldsburg, OH (6/25/2010) - Mushin
Racing’s Chase Snapp took his fourth win
of the season at round seven of the 2010 ATV Motocross
Championships, while brothers Kodi and Ashton
Ward made the podium in the 90 Auto Jr. and 50
Limited classes.
Track conditions were excellent for round seven,
which was hosted by Muddy Creek MX Park in Blountville,
TN. The weather was hot and humid, but that
did not stop Chase Snapp from claiming another
victory in the Pro-am Production class.
Snapp was on fire as he flew off the line in
the first moto, and grabbed the holeshot. Snapp
would lead for seven laps, but would fall back
after an intense battle with Joel Hetrick, leaving
Snapp to settle for second. In moto two, Snapp
was determined to take the win and again grabbed
the holeshot, but this time he did not waiver
when pressured by Hetrick and held his lead
from start to finish, taking the moto two win
and the overall. “Everything went well
for me out there and I’m really happy
to take another win!” said Snapp, who
is holding down a comfortable points lead with
181 points, 23 points ahead of second place.

Kodi Ward was on the gas at Muddy Creek
& took a 2nd place & a 6th place
in his 90 Auto Jr & 90 Mod classes
respectively |
In the 90 Auto Jr. class, Kodi Ward was looking good and appeared to be close
to if not back to 100% after coming back from
injury at the last round. Ward came off the line
in the top five in moto one and began working
his way up through traffic. In lap three Ward
made his way into the number two spot and held
his position for two laps before reaching the
finish line. In the second moto, Ward started
out in the lead and led for the entire first lap,
but would fall back to fourth place, but his strong
2-4 finishes would allow him to take second overall
for the day. Ward would also finish strong in
the 90 Modified class, taking sixth overall.
In the 50 Limited class, Ashton Ward made a
strong showing as he held a solid third place
from start to finish in moto one. In moto two,
Ward started off in the number two spot and
would record his fastest lap in lap three with
a time of 03:01.649. Ward would fall back to
the number three spot before crossing the finish
line, but his consistency earned him the number
three spot on the podium.
In the Pro ranks, Thomas Brown was consistent
as ever as he came off the line in mid pack
and worked his way to a solid fifth place by
the midway point after battling with Jeremie
Warnia. Thomas would hold down the number five
spot all the way to the checkered flag. In moto
two, Brown was toward the back off the start
but persistently work his way up until reaching
the number six spot after battling it out with
Jeremy Lawson. Brown’s 5-6 finishes would
put him just outside of the top five in the
number six position overall.
