Podium as of late, he battled hard &
went 2-3 at Steel City to take 3rd overall
on the podium

In moto one, Brown got off to a great start in third place behind Josh Upperman
and John Natalie. Brown would stay close to Natalie
and hold his own, despite pressure from Nick DeNoble.
Brown would get around Natalie, but would eventually
fall back to third when Josh Creamer would get
by, but he was able to make a pass on Natalie
late in the moto to take second place.
In moto two, Brown got an even better start
and was in second behind Greg Gee. Brown made
quick work of Gee and took the lead in the second
lap. Brown would hold his lead for over one
lap before Josh Creamer would get by. Brown
would eventually finish moto two in third, but
his 2-3 finishes were enough to put him in third
place on the podium. “It really feels
good to be on the podium again. It’s a
really great confidence booster to be up here
again,” stated Brown after the race.
“If you give him the tools, he’s
going to get the job done!” exclaimed
Mushin Racing’s team manager/owner, Scott
Ward, in regards to Thomas Brown’s second
pro podium finish of the year. “Thomas
is doing a fantastic job! He has one of the
best work ethics I have seen in our sport. He
trains hard and gives it his all every time,”
Ward added.

from injuries, Cody Gibson was a top
10 runner in both Pro Motos but ran
into some issues in moto 2 & was
forced to back off the throttle
|
Cody Gibson, who is still recovering from injury
was looking good as he shot off the line in
moto one. Gibson looked strong and consistent
as he would battle with Pat Brown and Jeremie
Warnia before taking a solid eighth place in
moto one.
In moto two, Gibson charged off the line to
take the moto two holeshot. Gibson would fall
back but was holding down an impressive fourth
place, however, Gibson would encounter issues
in lap three that would put him at the back
of the pack

Chase Snapp
played the number games this past weekend
going 1-2 in his Pro-Am Prod. Class
and took the overall win and stayed
in 1st overall in the points hunt as
well
|
Pro-am Production class racer Chase Snapp has been most impressive all season
and this weekend, showed why he is the Pro-am
points leader. Snapp would come from a top five
start and work his way to the number one spot
by the mid-way point of moto one. Once in the
lead, Snapp would check out, finishing six seconds
ahead of the competition.
In moto two, Snapp played it smart as he went
wheel to wheel with Joel Hetrick. Snapp knew
that he only had to finish in second to take
the overall win, and that’s exactly what
he did. “I’m really happy to take
the overall win and stay ahead in the points,”
said Snapp.

for round five. Rastrelli grabbed the Pro-am
Production moto one holeshot and led for half
of the race before falling back to second, where
he would stay all the way to the checkered flag.
In moto two, Rastrelli had to work a little
harder off the start, but he was impressive
as he charged his way into the number three
spot, by the end of the third lap, where he
would remain all the way to the finish line.
Rastrelli’s strong 2-3 finishes would
put him in the number three spot on the Pro-am
Production podium. “I have to thank Mushin
Racing for all they have done in helping me
so far this season,” said Rastrelli, who
is now holding down a respectable fourth in
the points race.

#27 Kodi
Ward went 4-6 to take 5th overall in
the 90 CVT class while still recovering
from a prior injury, he is sure to a
top contender at Spring Creek next round
|
In the youth classes, Kodi Ward was back in action after an injury had him sidelined
for six weeks. Ward would come back strong in
the 90 CVT class as he would go 4-6 to take a
solid fifth overall. “I think Kodi is doing
great for not even being on a quad for six weeks.
Now that he’s better, he is training again
and he is looking to be on top at Minnesota,”
stated Scott Ward.
Ashton Ward also had a strong performance in
the 50 Limited class. Ward got off to a great
start and fought hard in moto one to claim a
third place finish. In moto two, he was able
to work himself up to a sixth place finish,
allowing him to round out the top five in his
class. Ward’s consistent performance all
season has him sitting comfortably in the number
two spot in the 50 Limited points race. “Ashton
has been doing well all season and I couldn’t
ask for anything more. He tries hard and it
shows,” said Scott Ward.
Round number six of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross
Championships will be heading to Spring Creek
motocross Park in Millville, MN on June 12th
– 13th and the Mushin Racing team will
