Tapscott pulled back to back wins in
the Schoolboy Sr. Class at Ballance

Mushin Racing’s Dallas Tapscott claimed
impressive back to back moto wins to claim the
overall in the Schoolboy, Sr. class while despite
a nasty crash in moto two, Chase Snapp came back
to claim a spot on the podium.
Dallas Tapscott, who has come on strong this
season, took his fourth moto win of the season
and went on to claim the top spot on the Schoolboy,
Sr. podium. Tapscott grabbed the moto one holeshot
and checked out on the competition. Tapscott
would finish moto one with a 22 second lead.
In moto two, Tapscott would again grab the holeshot
and pull away. Tapscott would also record his
fastest lap time of the day in the final lap
with a time of 01:38.936 and seal the deal on
the overall win. “I had a great time out
there today and I am really happy to take the
win for Mushin Racing. They have helped me a
lot this season and I couldn’t have done
it without them,” said Tapscott.

#22 Chase
Snapp aboard his Suzuki LTR450 ATV finished
in 3rd overall in Pro-Am Production
and 4th overall in Pro-Am Unlimited
at Ballance MotoX

Chase Snapp came on strong in moto one of the
Pro-am Production class. Snapp was second off
the line and held his position for the entire
moto to finish in a solid second. Moto two however,
did not go according to plan for Snapp when
he suffered a nasty crash in the third lap.
Snapp wasn’t about to call it quits and
continued to race, working himself back into
sixth place before crossing the finish line.
Snapp’s 2-6 finishes were good enough
to put him in third place on the podium and
hang on to his impressive points lead. “I
didn’t want to give up and lose points
so I got back on after my crash and just kept
going. I pushed hard and I was able to finish
on the podium,” said Snapp, who would
also claim 3-5 finishes in the Pro-am Unlimited
class to claim fourth overall.
Brian Johnson ran two solid motos in the Production
A class. Johnson was second off the line in
moto one and held his spot all the way to the
checkered flag. In moto two, Johnson put on
a hard charge and finished third, only two seconds
off the leader, giving him third overall in
that class. Johnson would also go 4-13 for a
seventh place finish in the College 16-24 class.
Kodi Ward was looking strong during practices,
but ended up crashing and breaking his arm.
Ward is planning to return to the 70 Modified
and 90 Auto classes in five weeks.
Ashton Ward put in two solid motos in the 50
Ltd. Jr. class. Ward would hang on to claim
fifth in moto one and fourth in moto two, giving
him a solid fourth overall and putting him in
the top five in the points chase.
Spencer Meyer put in a good effort as he went
on to claim 12th overall in the 70 CVT class
despite some stiff competition.
In the Women’s class, Jamie Jones worked
her way up and rode consistently to take sixth
place in both motos giving her a solid sixth
overall for the day.

MX racer Thomas Brown finished his day
in Kentucky in the 5th overall spot

In the Pro ranks Thomas Brown battled hard
to take impressive 5-5 finishes in motos, giving
him fifth overall for the day and boosting him
into seventh place in the points chase.
Jeffrey Rastrelli just couldn’t catch
a break this weekend as he crashed in both the
Pro-am Production and Pro-am unlimited class,
but Rastrelli plans to come back strong at Danville.
Round three that is scheduled for May 2nd-3rd
in Danville, VA will also mark the return of
Mushin Racing’s Cody Gibson to the Pro
class. Gibson was involved in a crash at round
one that broke his collar bone, taking him out
of action for round two. The Mushin Racing team
is looking forward to his return and looking
forward to a successful round for the entire
team.
