Dalton Millican walked away from Loretta
Lynn's a champion in the 450A class
on the weekend taking his first ever
moto wins & the overall in the
class |
Hurricane Mills, TN (8/16/2010) - Dalton
Millican got his first overall all win at
the biggest race of the year, Dirt Days at
Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. This race attracts
the most racers of any event on the AMA ATV
Motocross Series. Millican started off the
weekend right in the 450A class pulling the
holeshot and leading the entire race giving
him his first moto win in the 450A class.
A rain storm came Saturday night leaving quite a messy track when moto 2 came
Sunday. Millican with help from his engine
builder Jeff Maxey and Custom Axis' Micah
MacDonough prepared the bike for the muddy
conditions. When the gate dropped on moto2
Millican’s race was never in doubt
leading into the first turn and at the checkered
flag.
“I have been trying all year to get
a win and do it at our biggest race of the
year is an incredible feeling. It takes
so many people to make this all possible
it is unfair I am the only one standing
on the podium after such a big win.
The training I receive at the Joe Byrd
Quad Riding School is second to none. The
motors from Maximum Cycle have been fast
all year. The shocks from Custom Axis are
the best in the business. The pre-race prep
that goes into my bike at MPE Motorsports
has given me a bike that has been bullet
proof all year” Millican said.
