                                  Vista, CA (3/21/2012) –
Can-Am / Motoworks’ Josh Frederick topped
the podium with his second win of the season
at round three of the 2012 WORCS series and
he was joined by teammate Dillon Zimmerman who
claimed his first ever pro podium finish in
                                  third.

Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu, AZ
is notorious as one of the roughest tracks
of the season and it lived up to the reputation
this past weekend as the sand gave way to
huge ruts and whoops. Mother Nature was rather
fickle for this round as well with unseasonably
cool temps that even included a little snow
in the higher elevations of the Arizona deserts,
but the adverse conditions did not stop the
                                    Motoworks team from claiming victory.

Frederick recorded the fastest lap in
the pro class at WORCS round 3 |

There was a dead engine start for this race,
which sometimes has a big impact on racers,
but it didn’t seem to matter much to
Josh Frederick who was in the top five early
in the first lap. Frederick kept the hammer
down and in the second lap he recorded the
fastest lap time of the race with a time of
06:00.315. Frederick remained in the number
three spot and tried to pace himself, but
a particularly rough section hampered his
                                    efforts briefly. Undeterred, Frederick charged
his way back up through the pack. “I
got a little crossed up and it set me back
but I just kept going and got up to second
and started chasing down the leader,”
                                    said Frederick.
As it turned out, the leader went down in
the same section that almost claimed Frederick
just a few laps earlier and Frederick would
inherit the lead. Once out front, Frederick
began to pull away and held his lead all the
way to the checkered flag for his second win
of the season. “I’m really glad
to be on the podium again. My Motoworks Can-Am
DS450 was working great and my DWT tires hooked
up really well, even in the sand. It was a
tough track but I took the win and I’m
really happy to be up on the podium with my
                                    teammate,” stated Frederick.

/ Motoworks' Dillon Zimmerman took his
best pro career finish at Lake Havasu

Dillon Zimmerman had a great race and took
the best finish of his pro career at round
number three. Zimmerman had a good start,
but got held up when another racer wrecked
in front of him in the third turn, putting
Zimmerman to the back of the pack. “It
was a little disappointing to have a good
start and then get caught up like that, but
I just put my head down and started working
                                    my way up,” Zimmerman explained.

The young racer worked his way back up to
sixth before the end of the first alp and
continued his charge. Zimmerman was soon battling
it out for the number three spot and came
out the victor of that battle. Zimmerman held
down the number three spot for several laps
as he rode it all the way to the finish line
for his first ever pro podium finish. “It’s
been a while since I’ve been on the
podium so I’m a little speechless right
                                    now,” he stated.
“I’m really proud of the team.
Josh did a great job out there and Dillon
has been working so hard; he really deserves
to be on the podium,” stated Motoworks
                                    team owner, Johnny Leach.
