Motoworks
/ Can-Am's Chris Bithell placed second
at Snowshoe GNCC |
Vista, CA (6/26/2012) –
Can-Am / Motoworks’ Chris Bithell charged
his way to the Pro podium at round eight of
the 2012 GNCC series.
Snowshoe is notorious as one of the toughest
rounds of the GNCC series and this year’s
course was full of rocks, trees roots and
machine swallowing mud holes, but Motoworks’
Chris Bithell was right at home on the rough
track.
The starting order for this race went according
to points standings with the top five in each
class in the front row and the rest of the
class following accordingly by row. Since
Chris Bithell was fifth in points heading
into this round, he was able to start on the
front row. Bithell charged off the line in
fourth place and paced himself over the first
couple of laps. “It was a really tough
track and I saw people getting stuck all over
the place so I tried to ride smart and not
get in over my head on the first couple of
laps,” said Bithell.

In the final two laps, Bithell made a charge
and moved into second place in lap five and
held his position all the way to the checkered
flag. “It was an awesome race. I loved
it out there and I felt great. I got up to
second and I was starting to reel in the leader,
but I ran out of time before I could get close
enough to really do anything. I’m still
glad to be on the podium though and I have
to thank Can-Am and Motoworks for putting
together and awesome machine for me and helping
me get on the podium.

Bithell’s solid performance also allowed
him to move into fourth in series pro points
and he could break into the top three before
heading into the summer break if all goes
well for him at the John Penton round.
Round number nine of the 2012 GNCC series
will head to Millfield, OH for the John Penton
round at Sunday Creek Raceway on July 7th,
where Motoworks’ Chris Bithell will
be going for a win.
