Vista, CA (5/17/2012) –
Can-Am / Motoworks’ Chris Bithell took
on the challenge of the Limestone 100 in Springville,
IN, this past weekend for round number six of
the 2012 GNCC series and claimed a fourth place
finish, keeping him in a comfortable fifth in
series points at the mid-season mark.
This was yet another new course for the series
this year and it was well liked by many racers.
There were plenty of hill climbs, creek beds
and well-worn trails to negotiate and near
perfect conditions made it even more enjoyable.
Motoworks’ Chris Bithell has always
been known for his ability to charge his way
through traffic and has made some of the most
incredible runs to the front of any race,
and this round was another well done charge
added to Bithell’s resume.

after round6 |
Bithell was just inside the top ten off the
start and immediately began to move forward.
Bithell gained two positions by the end of
the second lap and was still moving forward.
By the third lap, Bithell had moved into sixth
place and was trying to make his way around
lap traffic.
The many trees that lined the course were
detrimental to many as the hard packed dirt
was slick in spots and caused a couple of
crashes late in the race, but that worked
to Bithell’s advantage after he was
able to inherit fourth place in the final
lap and take it all the way to the checkered
flag.
"It was a really fun race. The track
was really tight and there weren't many places
to make passes or make up time. You could
ride back a few positions and see an opening
and try to make up a spot but it was tough.
Even though it got a little rough out there,
my Can-Am still took it, so I have to thank
Motoworks for doing such a great job,”
said Bithell.
Round number seven of the 2012 GNCC series
will head to Marvin’s Mountain Top in
Masontown, WV for the Mountaineer Run on May
26th, where Motoworks’ Chris Bithell
will be going for the podium.
