Vista, CA (5/1/2012) – With five rounds under his belt, Can-Am / Motoworks’ Chris Bithell is in the top five in series pro points with four top five finishes, with two of those ending on the podium.

Round number five of the 2012 GNCC series was held at Mammoth Resort in Park City, KY. This was a new track for racers and it was a tough one. There were tight trails and rocky terrain that took a toll on many racers and their equipment.

Can-Am Motoworks’ Chris Bithell was looking good in the first lap as he was quick off the start and was part of freight train of the top racers as they headed into the woods for the first lap.

After moving into fifth place a stick got stuck in Bithell's sprocket which put him out the race at Mammoth GNCC

At the end of the first lap, Bithell was in the number five spot and was looking to make his move into fourth, but a mechanical issue put an end to his plans for the day. Despite the small setback, Bithell remains in the top five in series points and is within reach of the top three.

Chris Bithell has had two podium finishes so far this season and he is working hard to make it to the podium in round six where another new track will even the playing field for everyone.

Round number six of the 2012 GNCC series will head to Springville, IN on May 12h for the Indy 100 round where Chris Bithell will contend for a spot on the podium.
