Vista, CA (3/21/2012) –
Can-Am / Motoworks’ Chris Bithell charged
his way to a top five finish at round two of
the 2012 GNCC where his solid performances have
put him in the number three spot in series points.
The General, which this round is referred
to, was held in Washington, Georgia where
a good, but rough course awaited racers. Rain
that had fallen in the week prior created
a few wet and muddy areas in the woods, but
after a couple of laps, things dried out and
the Georgia soil offered up great traction.
Off the start, Chris Bithell was toward the
back of the pack, but just as in the first
round, he made an incredible charge for the
front. Bithell made his way from just inside
the top ten into fourth in just one lap and
began to mix it up with the leaders. Bithell
then charged into the number two spot and
even took over the lead briefly before falling
back.

issue on the course set him back to
fifth before crossing the finish |
Bithell continued to battle it out with the
freight train of racers in the top five and
stayed on the gas. Bithell moved back up to
the number two spot in the final lap, but
an issue out on the course set him back and
he would finish in the number five spot with
a time of 02:22:23.
Chris Bithell has continued to show he has
the speed and skill to run up front and it
is only a matter of time before he tops the
podium. Bithell’s determination and
solid finishes also has him currently ranked
third in the pro points race with 37 points
and he could easily move into second at the
next round.
Round number three of the GNCC series will
be held on March 31st at Steel Creek in Morganton,
NC where Chris Bithell finished on the podium
last year and is hoping for a repeat performance
this year.
