Vista, CA (6/8/2011) –
It was another great weekend for the Motoworks
team as Jeremie Warnia grabbed the win and was
joined by his teammate Josh Frederick on the
Pro podium at round number five of the 2011
WORCS series, while Mark Holz piloted the Can-Am
Commander to the number two spot on the Side-by-Side
Class One podium.
Clay Peaks MX Park in Payette, ID was the
hosting facility for this round of the series.
The track was sandy and rough and visibility
was an issue due to all the dust, but Motoworks’
Jeremie Warnia had an incredible race in spite
of the conditions.

Warnia was in second off the start behind
David Haagsma, but quickly took the lead and
checked out. Warnia distanced himself from
the pack with each lap, and took the fastest
lap time of the race in lap two with a time
of 12:21.459. Warnia reached the checkered
flag 30 seconds ahead of second place to take
his third win of the season and extend his
points lead. “I am very happy to have
another win. I am ahead in points and I am
hoping to win a championship,” said
Warnia.
Josh Frederick got off to a good start but
got hung up in the WORCS-X section of the
track that put him back a couple of positions.
Frederick charged hard and was able to make
his way up to third place by the mid-way point.
“I was going pretty good and I was closing
in on Beau Baron, but I ran out of time before
I could get close enough to make a pass. It
was a tough race with all the dust and rough
track so I am happy with how I rode and I’ll
take third for now, but I want the win at
Washougal,” said Frederick, who is currently
second in pro points.

Dillon Zimmerman was looking much better
for this round after being held back by an
injury earlier in the season. Zimmerman was
just outside of the top five on the start
and moved into the number five spot by the
second lap. Zimmerman held that position until
the final lap, when he would fall back after
a battle with Dustin Nelson, leaving his to
finish in sixth place. “I’m feeling
a lot stronger and I’m happy that I
got a decent finish,” said Zimmerman.
In the Side-by-Side classes, Mark Holz put
the Motoworks Can-Am Commander on the podium
in a solid second place. Holz was in the top
five off the start and picked off William
Yokely in the second lap for the number three
spot. Holz would take over second when Ryan
Piplic broke an axle I lap four, allowing
Holz to claim second on the podium and hang
on to second in the points chase.
Round number six of the 2011 WORCS series
will get underway after a short break over
the next several weeks and head for Washougal,
WA on August 20th – 21st where Jeremie
Warnia and Josh Frederick will be going for
the top of the podium.
