though Can-Am/ Motoworks Jeremie Warnia
was feeling under the weather, he was
able to podium with second place |
Vista, CA (3/1/2011) –
Motoworks' Jeremie Warnia and Josh Frederick
pushed hard and made their way to the podium
at round number two of the 2011 WORCS series
that was held at Buffalo Bill's in Primm, NV
this past weekend.
The weekend started out cold with snow showers
falling during Saturday's practice, but the
weather cleared up just in time for Sunday's
races and left the track in great condition.
The tacky soil early in the race helped propel
Jeremie Warnia off the line in a strong second
place behind Josh Creamer. Warnia stayed on
the gas and at the end of the final lap, Warnia
was able to get past Creamer when Creamer
had a close encounter with a hay bale. Warnia,
who was feeling quite under the weather, held
a strong lead until lap seven when he had
to stop in the pits for gas, which allowed
Creamer to get by. Warnia put the hammer down,
and was closing in, but he ran out of time
before he was able to close the gap on Creamer,
leaving him to settle for a respectable second
place, which allowed him to keep his points
lead.

Josh
Frederick, starting from dead last,
was able to grab third place aboard
his Can-Am/ Motoworks Can-Am DS450 ATV |
Josh Frederick made an incredible charge
after a bit of trouble on the start had him
in dead last, Frederick who is known for his
ability to work his way through traffic, didn't
hesitate to start picking of riders one by
one. By the end of the first lap, Frederick
was already up to eighth place and kept climbing
from there until he reached third, where he
would stay until reaching the checkered flag.
“If I would have gotten a better start,
I think I could have possibly won, but I'm
still happy with how I rode, and I'll be ready
for sure at Lake Havasu,” stated Frederick,
who took the win at Havasu last year. Josh
Frederick is currently third in the pro points
chase, but is only seven points off of Warnia,
who is in first.
In just a few short weeks the Motoworks team
will be heading to the sunny shores of Lake
Havasu, AZ on March 18th - 21st where Josh
Frederick and Jeremie Warnia will be racing
for the top of the podium as the points chase
begins to heat up.
