Vista, CA (5/28/2010) - Motoworks’
Josh Frederick made his way to the pro podium
at round five of the 2010 WORCS series to hang
on to the pro points lead, while Dillon Zimmerman
would finish just outside the top five for the
day.
Honey Lake MX in Milford, CA played host
where cool temps and even a little snow came
in to play for the weekend. The snow melted
quickly but made for wet conditions, however,
that didn’t seem to matter much to Josh
Frederick.
Frederick was in second off the line and
quickly took over the lead. Frederick led
the entire first lap, but fell back to second
in lap two. “Milford has a lot of rocks
and can be a bit of a challenge. You really
want to go fast, but you also have to ride
smart out there or you could easily end up
breaking something,” stated Frederick,
who kept a steady pace to take second place
on the pro podium.
Frederick has claimed a podium finish at
every round so far this season and holds down
the pro points lead with 116 points and is
expected to do well at round six as the series
heads back to the desert, where Frederick’s
skills are unmatched.

Motoworks'
Dillon Zimmerman placed 6th after a
hard faught day at Honey Lake |
Dillon Zimmerman was off to a good start,
taking a top five position off the line. Zimmerman
would fall back a couple of spots and battle
for most of the race with Mike Cafro, before
getting by to take a sixth place finish. Zimmerman’s
consistency so far this season has the first
year pro currently sitting in fourth place
in the pro points chase.
The next round of the 2010 WORCS series will
head to Anza, CA on June 4th – 6th where
Cahuilla Creek MX will play host as Josh Frederick
will go for the win and further his pro points
lead in pursuit of the championship.
