Motoworks'
Josh Frederick & Jeremie Warnia
podium at Racetown 395 |
Vista, CA (4/29/2010) - Motoworks’
Josh Fredrick made a hard charge to claim the
number two spot and the pro podium and gain
a comfortable points lead, while Jeremie Warnia
would finish in a close third.
Beautiful weather was on tap as round four
of the 2010 WORCS series got underway at Adelanto,
CA’s Racetown 395. The favorable track
conditions helped Josh Frederick come off
the line in a solid fourth as he was in hot
pursuit of the leaders, Dustin Nelson and
Jeremie Warnia. Frederick stayed close and
in the second lap, he would take over the
number two spot when Warnia would crash. Frederick
would hold his position unchallenged all the
way to the checkered flag. Frederick’s
solid performance has sitting in the points
lead with 94 points, giving him a four point
lead over second place Beau Baron. “I
had a pretty decent race. The track got a
little rough towards the end, but my Motoworks
Can-Am DS450 worked great,” said Frederick.
Although he is the current points leader,
Frederick is still cautious about making any
predictions regarding the championship. “There
are still five rounds left and anything can
happen, so I am going to do my best to win,
but also ride smart,” Frederick stated.

AMA ATV Motocross racer Jeremie Warnia made
a last minute decision to race round four
and did remarkably well for this being his
first WORCS round of the year. Warnia was
in second off the line and was battling hard
with Dustin Nelson, but in the second lap,
just as Warnia was about to make the pass
on Nelson, he would touch wheels with the
number 94 and end up crashing. Warnia was
not about to
give up and came back to record the fastest
lap time of the race in lap three with a time
of 09:34.129. Warnia would end his day in
the third spot on the podium. “Today
went well for me, except for my crash, but
I still made the podium so I am happy!”
exclaimed Warnia.

Dillon Zimmerman made a hard charge from
the back of the pack off the start to take
a solid seventh place finish before crossing
the finish line. Zimmerman’s consistent
performance all season long has him sitting
in a respectable fourth place in the points
race. “I’m going to be training
hard over the next few weeks. I’ve been
pretty consistent so far this season, but I
would like to do even better,” said Zimmerman.
The Motoworks team will be heading to Milford,
CA on May 22nd – 23rd for round five
of the 2010 WORCS series, where Josh Frederick
will be going for the win in his quest to
