#13 John Natalie would bring home the
2010 Montreal Supermotocross Win aboard
his Motoworks Can-Am DS450 ATV |
Vista, CA (10/7/2010) - Motoworks'
John Natalie, Jr. blew away the competition at
the 2010 Montreal Supercross to win both his heat
race and the Pro ATV main event to become the
new 2010 champion, while teammate Chad Wienen
would come on strong to take a top five finish.
The track conditions at the 2010 Montreal Supercross
were tough at best as a full-fledged supercross
style course greeted racers with peaky jumps,
tight, technical turns and huge ruts. “The
track set up was similar to my track at home,
so that wasn’t too bad, but there were
a lot of ruts and that made it pretty tough
out there,” said Chad Wienen.

heat race

As the gate dropped for the first heat race, it was John Natalie, who would
grab the holeshot. Natalie led the first heat
race from start to finish despite pressure from
teammate Wienen early in the race and claimed
the heat one win.
In the Pro ATV main event, Natalie was in the
top three off the start and soon was side by
side with leader Chad Wienen. The pair battled
intensely for three laps before they would again
be side by side going into the whoops section,
where Natalie took over the lead. The number
13 Can-Am led unchallenged for the rest of the
race to take the 2010 Montreal Supercross Pro
ATV win.

#44 Chad Wienen would have some bad luck
early on in the race but would come back
to round out the top 5 of the race |
Motoworks’ Chad Wienen was looking good as he came off the line in second
behind teammate Natalie in the heat race. Wienen
stayed close and finished his heat in a solid
second.
In the main event, Wienen was in second off
the start and battling with Jasmin Plante, who
would end up running right into Wienen and wrecking,
which caused Wienen the lead, but Wienen was
not about to give up. Wienen battled with teammate
Natalie for three laps and was side by side
with him in the third lap, going into the whoops
section, but the narrow track would not allow
enough room for both riders and Wienen would
go off the track, sending him back several positions.
Wienen was able to work his way back up and
round out the top five as he crossed the finish
line. “It was a fun race and I’m
glad our team finished well and it was good
to see John up on the podium,” said Wienen.
Motoworks congratulates its racers on a job
well done at the 2010 Montreal Supercross and
is looking forward to defending its championship
at next year’s event.
