#13 John Natalie Jr grabbed 5th place
in the first Pro moto & in the second
moto he grabbed the holeshot & held
on for 2nd place giving him 3rd overall
on the day |
Vista, CA (7/21/2010) - Determination
and a hard charge led Motoworks’ John Natalie,
Jr. to the podium at round nine of the 2010 ATV
Motocross Championships, with teammate Chad Wienen
finishing close behind him.
Unadilla in New Berlin, NY was the hosting
facility that is known for its fast and challenging
set up with lots of opportunities for big air,
which is exactly the type of track that works
well for John Natalie.
The number 13 Can-Am had his work cut out for
him in the first moto as he did not get the
start he was looking for and had to work his
way through traffic. Natalie made an incredible
charge and worked his way up from eleventh place
to the number five spot before reaching the
checkered flag.

#13 John Natalie Jr was back in the hot
seat for moto two, this time in the lead
but would make a slight bobble & give
up the lead to Creamer |
In moto two, Natalie was fired up and determined
to be on the podium at the end of the day. Natalie
charged off the line, taking the moto two holeshot
and led for eight laps despite pressure from
Josh Creamer. “Creamer was right behind
me and I was feeling good and holding him off,
but then I hit a huge hole and almost went down,”
stated Natalie who was fortunate enough to ride
it out and hang on and only lose one position.
Even after his close call, Natalie did not give
up and fought back, but was unable to make a
pass in time to regain his lead, which would
give him second in moto two and third overall
for the day.
“I’m glad I was able to make the
podium. I have to thank Motoworks for all of
their hard work and giving me the opportunity
to put Can-Am on the podium,” said Natalie
who is in a solid third in the Pro points chase.

#44 Chad Wienen recorded the fastest lap
times of both Pro motos but was in the
4th & 3rd spots when the checkers
flew which would give him 4th overall |
Chad Wienen ran two consistent motos and just
barely missed the podium. Wienen was in mid
pack off the start in moto one and recorded
the fastest lap time of both motos in lap four
with a time of 01:50.278. Despite his incredible
lap times, Wienen was only able to make it to
the number four spot before crossing the finish
line.
In moto two, Wienen got a better start, taking
third off the line. Wienen would hold his position
for the entire moto before taking the checkered
flag. Wienen’s 4-3 finishes would give
him fourth overall for the day and keep him
in a comfortable fourth in the points race.

Jeremie Warnia went 7-6 in the Pro motos
on Sunday to give him a 7th place overall
finish for the day |
Jeremie Warnia was looking very consistent
and strong as he would battle hard in both motos
and take solid finishes. In moto one, Warnia
would come off the line in the top ten and battle
the entire moto with Thomas Brown, eventually
working his way to a seventh place finish. In
moto two, Warnia was in seventh off the start
and again be locked in battle with Thomas Brown.
Warnia would come out of the battle victorious
and take a sixth place finish, giving him seventh
overall.
With only two rounds left in the 2010 season,
the battles will be heating up as the Motoworks
team heads to Red Bud in Buchanan, MI on August
1st, where John Natalie and Chad Wienen will
be in the hunt for the podium.
